Dr. Amaratos took an MRI of my foot after I went in with extreme foot pain, he then proceeded to go on vacation with out giving me the results. The staff was completely unhelpful, and it took himtwo weeks to get back to me, leaving me in excruciating pain. When he did call me up he said I had to get a boot on my foot as I had two hairline fractures. I was in the boot for six weeks, unable to work. After the six weeks he took it off and said I would be ready to go back to work in a week and to make a return visit in a month, even after I told him my foot still hurt. He attributed this to the prolonged time I had the boot on. Instead of the pain going away it got worse, I decided that I had to get a second opinion. The new doctor informed me that I had not two but THREE fractures, and that the boot had been a waste of time as I needed my foot to be completely immobile, and for that I needed a cast for another 6 weeks. This doctor’s negligence and misdiagnosis made me have to take off 3 months off of work, but more importantly I now only have an 80% chance of my foot healing properly. Go somewhere else, save yourself the headache.
