I’m giving Amuse a full five stars due to their wonderful bartender Amanda. This week I had the pleasure of sitting at her bar during peak hours three nights in a row. She’s a whirlwind of action yet no matter how busy or chaotic things got, she kept the drinks moving, kept the bar in top shape and had a wonderful attitude and an engaging smile every single minute! I did not order any of the menu items but the cocktails were great and the they have a decent selection of scotch and whiskeys. Wonderful oasis for a weary traveller after a long day of meetings!

The chicken soup was fabulous with chunky tasty rolls, the poutine was generous and a great deal for just 6 dollars but chili tasted canned! Large tasty house salad, Martinis a little overpriced. I would have enjoyed the basil martini if they would have lost the lime. We were staying here so too tired to go anywhere else. Fun to people watch!

Drinks were good and they had hand stuff blue cheese olives and good dry martinis, but the food was horrible. We had fried avocado and crab and it did not taste like avocado. What they called ricotta stuffed gnocchi was like something out of a freezer and wasn’t heated enough. Was also very over priced.

I had a party with about 125 people a few weeks ago here and it was awesome. They make some good stiff drinks here. The wine was awesome. The staff even worked with me to get our group a drink special for the 8PM to 12:30AM time frame we were there. I cant say what it is was but some of the items were $ 4-$ 6 off than what you would usually pay. The staff will always treat you like a king even if you order a $ 7 beer. This is in the part off to the right of the entrance when you first get in from the revolving doors not to confused with«the palm» which is off to the right and. This is a great upscale place to watch a football or hockey game or it rain during the summer and you were on your way to MIllennium Park or you are drenched at MIllennium Park. This is a nice lounge in the loop area which does not have that many lounges. I should add that someone in this listing seems to think that this is on Randolph Street. Maybe that person had too many martinis, because this is on 323 E Upper Wacker… UH, HELLO :)

We live next door, and come here often. The service is outstanding and it is located in thw Swiss which had high service standards. We ordered fish tacos, pork quesadilla, and some beers. Delicious. We will continue to go back because of service.

Like many others I was here for a conference and needed to grab a quick bite to eat before my first session. I was craving a Chicago style hot dog but didn’t have the time to venture out into the arctic winter to find one. The fish tacos weren’t anything special but they hit the spot. It was a little strange that they used flower tortillas instead of corn but they were tasty nonetheless. My only real complaint is the service. I sat at the bar and it took an additional 20 minutes of sitting with an empty plate for my server to notice that I was ready for my check. In sum, Amuse is an ok place to eat if you want to spend the money and don’t have enough time to venture out into a city full of amazing food.

Here on business, waiting in the weather to cooperate, I stopped in here for some hot chocolate after walking back from some lunch in town, and freezing myself to my sub-tropical Los Angeles dwelling bones to the core. So sitting here I ordered up a hot chocolate. It wasn’t epic, amazing or incredible, but it was hot, not too sweet, and tasted like actual hot cocoa. At almost $ 6 it was a bit in the pricey side, but find me a swanky hotel lounge that isn’t overpriced in everything… All warmed up now on the inside, hoping the weather will follow suit…
