Having Annie photograph our wedding was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Annie has such an incredible eye for detail and you can really feel her passion through her work. From our beginning consultation to their skilled art of photographing and editing as well as the presentation of our final products through their beautiful website and my favorite. .. Annie Steele Photography flash drive, they exuded professionalism and excellence in every way! My husband and I opted to do a «first look» prior to our ceremony as the majority of our pictures would be taken prior to walking down the aisle on the Odyssey Cruise Ship at Navy Pier. Annie did a superb job helping us plan those special moments and upon execution was like a fly on the wall so that my husband and I could cherish that time as they inconspicuously captured our highlights. Similarly, we had a private horse drawn carriage ride that Annie and Peter accompanied us on. Their professionalism and stealthy camera work allowed us to maintain a personal and romantic carriage ride between the skyscrapers of downtown Chicago. I was referred to Annie by a good friend, as I was in need of a photographer to take engagement pictures of me and my fiancé’. Annie not only was professional, but made us so comfortable and really listened to our vison of what we wanted to capture for our engagement pictures. I couldn’t have been happier when I saw the end-​product. She also gives you the digital photographs for your personal use, which most photographers don’t do. Highly recommend!!!

I’m the kind of girl that celebrates her birthday multiple times. Every year. Why not? More dinners, more friends, more fun, right?
So when it came time for my very own wedding, I knew that dress would be put on twice. A girl that has several birthday dinners HAS to have at least two chances to wear her wedding dress, right? Since we had a very small wedding in the city without my extended family, my family and I put our heads together and decided on a big family BBQ party in my mom’s hometown (Monroe, Wisconsin… check it, it’s darling!).
Of course, another party, another wearing of «the dress,» another wedding cake? Another photographer. Enter Annie Steele. I’ve known her for many years (her sister was our wedding officiant!), and have been admiring her absolutely gorgeous photographs for awhile. Yes, we are friends, but my admiration for her photographs went beyond that. She takes beautiful pictures.
Annie and her trusty sidekick trekked up north to photograph us all over town before we made our grand appearance at the party. The courthouse, the town square, the winding rural roads near my aunt’s home… we hit all the scenic spots. Her style is very easygoing and flexible. You like that doorway over there? Let’s do it. You want to climb in that corn? Get on in there. She’ll get the shot. She loves photographing people, and that is plainly evident in her finished work. She captures so much more than the person: she captures emotion.
The end result? Stellar. Absolutely marvelous photos. She captured the love I have for a certain bearded man, and the love in my entire family. (She also captured my husband doing the macarena… priceless!) Some samples:
