Huge liquor and beer selection, which is awesome! I wish they had a bit more in terms of food/snacks, but hey, it’s not a grocery store right? Everyone is always friendly, the place is brightly lit, clean, and feels upscale.

Fantastic selection of bargain bourbons! Their beer selection is also phenomenal, but what keeps me coming back is their always growing selection of low price but high quality bourbons.

I really love and hate this place because of how large of a selection they have. I like all of the options, but hate them because I never know what to decide on! It all sounds so tasty. The one off the California Blue Line also seems a bit pricey. Perhaps it is just pricey for the beers I tend to enjoy, but I guess you go here for the wide variety, that alone can be worth paying a few extra dollars.

Really, an incredible selection of beer with prices so reasonable, competitors prices look shocking. I’ve spoken with one of the owners several times, and not only has he recommended beers based on my previous purchases, he’s offered to stock beverages that I’ve recommended. The huge selection of craft beers and ciders really make this place a gem. Also, I’ve never entered a liquor store for it’s ambiance, so I don’t take that into account in my rating, and I wouldn’t take anyone seriously who complains about it, either. The only thing I would ever ask them to do is expand the hours, but maybe I should learn some self-discipline and make my alcohol purchases before eleven o’clock at night.

Amazing selection, low prices. You can check their specials at and sign up for email alerts too! Also Big parking lot.

Awesome selection, fair prices and the people here are pleasant. The only down side is that they sometimes close earlier than their sign says — I’ve shown up a few times 20 – 30 minutes before they close to find the lights off or someone locking the door just as I arrive.

They’ve remodeled and done a lot of work on the place, including adding a huge selection of craft beers and microbrews of all types. Really worth checking out if you live in Humboldt Park. Clerks are always friendly and seem to appreciate the business. As mentioned before there’s *always* a panhandler out front, usually the same guy who pretty much is a permanent fixture, but is mostly polite and not aggressive.

The beer selection here has grown immensely since the addition of several refrigerator displays along one entire wall. Used to be the best beer I could get here was Sam Adams. Now, they have Three Floyds Gumballhead in stock regularly, Stone, Flying Dog, Rogue, Unibroue, Metropolitan, etc. Friendly cashiers and a great liquor and wine selection. Just be ready to be hassled by pan handlers at the door and park on the street if there is an open spot. This parking lot is horrible.

This place has a stellar selection of Spanish and Argentinian wines. They also have a great selection of tall boys(like Stella Artois, Sapporo and Heineken). The prices are reasonable and it rivals Binny’s. I only wish that it was open later than 11 pm. Plus, there’s a 24-hour Subway next door in case you need a snack when you’re gathering up all of your wares.

I was out looking for pisco and just happened to stop here. They only had a couple types, but I was a little surprised they had any at all. I didn’t spend much time there, but it looked like they had a good selection. The staff were super nice and helpful as well.

This does vary from the(closest) other Foremost location, on Milwaukee, in that, yeah, their beer selection is lacking, but they do have a greater, maybe unnecessarily so, selection of funky wine and tons of booze. Prices are sometimes good, sometimes not-so-good, does that make sense? If you’re a regular drinker of such-and-such, and live nearby, it’s your call. Nice staff, though as with most Foremost stores(save for Milwaukee), they’re not open super-late. Apparently they’re doing a serious remodeling, emphasizing a greater selection of beer(‘mircobrews’, I was told). Kinda goes with the yuppification/hipsterization of the neighborhood, I guess.

Not as vast of a selection as the Vas Foremost on Milwaukee. If you can get past the old man sweat smell in the entrance then you are ok. The beer and wine selection seem pretty basic. The hard liquor section is solid, with a wide variety of choices. If you are looking to get sauced head straight towards the hard stuff. Lots of old crusty bottles covered in dust, drink at your own risk!
