I waited for over an hour for my appointment without an apology from the staff. When I finally saw the technician, he was really great, but then he had to see another patient and I waited even longer, presumably because the doctor was still not ready. I had to leave before I got to see the doctor because I had to teach. Very frustrating, and I would have felt a little better about it if the staff had apologized and told me it was unusual, or something, but they didn’t.

Dr. Arun’s has been my go-to doctor since I’ve started using her 3 years ago. She takes her time to go through everything, and I always feel like she genuinely cars for my health and well-being. She takes the time to break down everything so that I can understand and also gives explanations as to how it could have occurred and what i can do to prevent/mitigate against it. I’d highly recommend using her if you’re looking for a physician!

I’m having super mixed feelings about Dr. Arun’s office. The first time I visited was on referral from the University Office when I was having SERIOUS eye troubles(pain, redness, the works) and I was really impressed. It’s a very small and not-very-fancy office, but Dr. Arun was very accommodating and seemed extremely knowledgable. I was scheduled for a follow-up appointment and contact fitting(and sent home with many eye-drops and antibiotics) and was generally happy. Unfortunately, my second time back was a total miss. 1. I never got a confirmation call(maybe they don’t do that?) and when I called to confirm myself they nearly told me I didn’t have an appointment. Luckily they found me and called me back in time. 2. When I arrived it was as if they had not taken note at ALL from the last time I was there(«Why were you here? What are you here for today?»). 3. I had been told on my first visit that I needed to switch to daily contacts, and on my second visit they kind of acted as though this was a bad idea(which left me really, really confused). 4. One of their machines printed out too much data(two separate readings of my eyes), so they couldn’t figure out what was the right reading, meaning that everything took twice as long. 5. There was a med student watching my appointment, which is TOTALLYFINE, but they never mentioned why she was there or who she was. Eventually, 30 minutes into my appointment, she introduced herself and asked if it was ok that she watched and asked questions. I’m always willing to help out fellow grad students, but it was horribly awkward for that first half hour when someone who appeared to know nothing was poking around my eyeballs. Now, two weeks later, and the contacts that were promised to arrive within the week are not here. I was supposed to be called upon their arrival, but I wasn’t, so I followed up only to find that they were never ordered in the first place. Sigh. To top it off, I find it really odd that both Dr. Arun and almost all of her staff are CONSTANTLY checking their iphones. Honestly, if I felt like adequate attention was being paid to their work, it wouldn’t bother me so much. However, considering that many mistakes have been made along the way, this seems really unprofessional I’m going to give these guys another chance because I had such warm-fuzzy feelings that first visit. Hopefully they were just having a really«off» few weeks. BUT– I’m ordering my contacts online from now on!

I started to see Dr. Arun when I was in medical school. She takes her time with patients and is always careful to explain things for anyone to understand. She is among the best of physicians I have seen practice.
