I like that it’s a really big place but the location is very obscure. I passed by it four or five times before I could find it. I think it’s a great idea that they have a lounge/restaurant until 22:00 but what bothered me most was how it was empty when we went there but right at 22:00 they blasted the music. Now I’m Bulgarian and I love our music and loud music in general but can’t they wait until there’s at least five or six couples before they blast the music? It just felt kind of depressing. Service is the same at every European place you go, it’s very rare not to have a language barrier so that never bothers me(this is just a general statement/forewarning for all ya’ll that might want to go there! :})

Food was excellent. I had the meat sampler which came with battered french fries(I avoid fries so not judging these) and cut up tomatoes and cucumbers. They offer olive oil, red wine vinegar as condiments which dressed up the sides nicely. The meats were very good and large in portion. The meat patty was all right. The pork chop was all right. These wouldn’t bring me back. The pork kebap was better. The sausage was very good and the ground kebap was excellent, just jammed pack with spices. I wish I could’ve tried the pancakes offered for dessert. I was in the midst of the conversion from café to disco and was fairly certain the volume was going to be up a bit louder than I wanted. Next time, I’m trying for kebap with a yoghurt-pepper sauce, if such a thing is on their menu.

Coming from a european white background, I also had those looks«hey dont look at our women.» I guess because I didnt speak their bulgarian language. Ok so who cares. By the way, the bouncer in front of the door was a total jackass. At one time, I was expecting to meet up with a friend in the place. He didnt even let me try to see if he was there and shut me out saying its a private party.

While I can’t speak for the nightclub experience, I will sure shout on top of the Unilocal Mountain that food is tasty to the yum power. An equation to that equals happy times for your tummy and taste buds. I have no idea the name of what I ordered as this was the first time I had ever had Bulgarian cuisine. We ordered the shared salad which is similar to an anti pasta platter(only BETTER) and I had a chicken dish that was stacked on top of bread with cooked veggies and cheese. Amazingly, despite being smothered by juicy chicken, the bread they had never became soggy; even upon reheating it the next day for lunch. Yes, the portions are large enough to take home to enjoy later. I’m dinging them a star for their service. Our waiter did not know much about the menu or what types of alcohol they had available. Other than that, the atmosphere here is cute and the food be oh so yummy.

I checked this place out on Halloween 08′. I guess it’s a restaurant that becomes a club /lounge at night. Music is pretty good, it started off as progressive then switched to Euro and then it went completely Bulgarian. They also play music videos and have a few small TVs scattered through the room. It’s not a big place, it’s found on the street in between two businesses. I’d say they could hold maybe fifty plus people. In the front they have a pool table, walking inside there’s a circular shaped bar with seating about twenty feet ahead and some area to dance with tables scattered about. The bar got so crowded there wasn’t anywhere to stand and grab a drink. Most push their way to one end of the bar, which is also where the waitresses are waiting to grab drinks from. It becomes obnoxious because your standing there hoping to get served, clearly a waitress could just grab our money and hand us a drink. Instead they are concentrated on table service, which I can understand, it’s the same kind of service found in most ethnic clubs or lounges. The waitresses were pushy, in the sense that, regardless that there isn’t any space to move, they too are pushing you out of their way. LoL. Drinks are expensive, so make sure you tell them what kinds of spirits you’d like in your drink. Vodka tonic, could contain their crappiest vodka and tonic. Duh. I say that because my friends kept ordering this way and wondered why the cocktail was so light. As a person of color, I got a few strange looks. The, «don’t talk to our women, kind of looks» I also had two guys say, «What up, n*gga» in a very thick Bulgarian accent. They were trying, too hard, but it’s cool. The rest rooms are singles. The room was tiny, so tiny that if you had to take a dump, you wouldn’t be able to get up again. Seriously. It was cool for a little while and while some were willing to engage in conversation, most weren’t welcoming. If you go, you should take a few European friends with you. It was an interesting experience and a wild night that Halloween night was.
