Very disappointed with the yogurt /fruit ., very small quantity ., maybe they didn’t have enough fruit for the day or just cheap., I was one of the first customers when they first opened very disappointed in portion and quality ., and service now sucks., they use to had a sweet older lady working there ., maybe owners mom very nice lady., will not go back very disappointed

great family owned cafee. the ice cream options are well worth the trip to little village, the mexican and european flavors can be tasted on every bite you take. the gelato is always fresh and well decorated. highly recommend you try Azucar if you are in the Little village area.

Small mom and pop shop but this is one of the best ice cream’s I have ever tasted. All kinds of flavors, my favorite is passion fruit and Sangria. The owners always keeps this place really clean. Can’t get enough of this ice cream.

Such a huge selection of flavored we had a hard time deciding! The staff were lovely, the gelato was delicious, the portions were huge and cheap! I’ll definitely come again.

I went with a regular coffee and was disappointed to taste such a wonderfully prepared drink. The woman who prepared it did such a careful job preparing it, she even made a fresh pot, it just did not reach its potential!

Loved the ice cream here. Very good customer service and good quality ice cream. I would definitely come back. Totally reminds me of the awesome ice cream in Mexico

Super amazing ice cream here and the staff is very accommodating. We ordered 5 trays of ice cream from here for our wedding and they threw in a 6th just because they thought we’d like it. Spoiler alert: we did.

Who said you can’t find a cheap and quality coffee shop in Chicago? I’m writing this review to defile whoever made that statement because I wasn’t sure, either until I found Azucar through Unilocal recommendations. The menu didn’t have prices listed so I was a little worried. The owners, one elderly lady and another young man, welcomed us. I speak little Spanish so I let my hubby do the ordering. There’s an assortment gelato flavors. While I couldn’t decide what I wanted yet, the young man volunteered to hand out spoons with two(2) flavors and let me try without asking. I sampled the«rice» and«passion fruit.» I went with the passion fruit because it was refreshing and yummy! Meanwhile, my hubby was finishing up two(2) order of Jamaica. He handed the elderly lady one(1) $ 20 bill and she gave him back $ 16.25. What! All those things cost us $ 3.75. What was going on? You can be satisfying with your afternoon in a neighborhood coffee for two for… once again…$ 3.75!!! I’m elated. This made my day. If you’re in the area, make sure to stop by, sit down, and enjoy your afternoon tea with a little cash you have in your pocket.

I am really glad that I don’t live within walking distance because that would be a real problem for my waistline! This place is awesome. It’s a small neighborhood spot-definitely off the grid but man oh man are the goodies good! They have coffee, nachos, caramel alfajores and of course ice cream. I had an alfajores-very deelish, a coffee– I must say, a very well made cup and sangria sorbet-do you really need to ask? Everything was Awwwesome! What really stands out to me was the service and vibe of the place. As I watched the young man make my coffee, all I kept thinking was, He’s doing it with love! He really was. There is seating inside and a few seats outside. Oh and let me mention that the prices are verrry right! I can’t wait to return. I wish them a lot of success!

If this place was on the north side, it would be in every food blog in Chicago. OPEN A SECONDLOCATION!!! It was definitely worth the drive from downtown. Super cheap and I am still thinking about the mango con chile(tajin) nieve. It kinds of sucks that they are cash only and there isn’t a sign anywhere, but whatevs.

This place is great and goes to show how you can come up if you give it your all. They truly started from the bottom now their here. Their flavors are amazing and they have a good variety. The place gets full but people come as fast as the go. The people are very attentive and polite. I see no flaw here.

If you are looking for great tasting ice cream on 26th st, then this is the place to go! They have a great variety of ice cream flavored that you will not find anywhere else for a fraction of the cost! My favorite flavor is gansito which tastes just like the actual pastry! They also sell smoothies, coffee, and other types of treats but the ice by far is the star of the place.

This place is amazing and it’s insanely cheap. Bring a $ 20 and buy ice cream for all the kids in the surrounding neighborhood. Seriously, I paid for mine with the change that had fallen into the cushions of my car. I don’t know about the coffee or other random stuff because the ice cream is the absolute fucking bomb and why would you order the other stuff-it’s like going to the world’s best fish place and complaining about the meatloaf.

We needed a last minute table for 4 on Saturday and they were very accommodating. It was my wife’s birthday and we had a great time. Marlin was a great waiter, had super recommendations and the owner came over to make sure everything was up to snuff. Great service and food. We all agree the Coca Flat bread was great, the Hanger Steak and Lamb were great. Basically we tried almost everything on the menu and loved it all. Oh Yea, don’t miss the Scallops! Then have the Pastel de Chocolate and Crema Catalana for desert. This place should not be empty on a Saturday Night! Go there you’ll have fun.

I’m so pissed I wasn’t the first to write about this place. A little background story. This is truly a «mom & pop» shop. This family started off selling their ice cream in street carts, and had a HUGE fan base(my cousin would come all the way from 55th& Pulaski for this ice cream). They take pride in their product and obtain the best ingredients(the owner’s son passionately told me about buying the mixes from Italy and the process of making the ice cream). They worked hard to open up this locale. I’m extremely happy for them. The«American Dream» in process :) On to the ice cream itself. It is GOOD. I can only have their water based, but they are delicious. My favorite has got to be «maracuya»(passion fruit). It is aromatic, but not overpowering, and it just melts into liquid perfection in your mouth. The«mango con chile» is awesome too(and what they’re known for). Another tasty one is «fruta de bosque»(berry forest), which has various berry flavors. The«mandarina»(mandarine) was tasty too, but haven’t seen it again(or maybe I don’t go often enough). The place is nice to just sit and eat your treat, as you can see from the awesome pics posted. If you dislike crowds avoid this place on Sundays.

Awesome place, we just went in there today because it was super hot and we wanted some ice cream. The place was nice and cold and the ice cream was delicious! Not to mention the price was also great. They have lots of flavors and you don’t even know which one o pick. My overall experience here was great :) will definitely be going back soon!
