If there is something called«Bargains in a Box,» hand it to me because I’m curious what I would get. I’m confident that this isn’t a Pandora’s box, since everything box you see in the store is wide open and you’re welcome to peek and see what’s inside. «Bargains in a Box,» in actuality, sells the manufacturers’ overstocks or soon-will-be-expired food items. This store is pretty cool in my opinion. If you can certainly utilize a place like this for your everyday essentials. Rosa J. will make this review simple by going straight to the point, in the style of Ten Commandments: 1) Thou shalt buy toothpaste and toothbrushes($ 1 for a 4oz. size and $ 3 for a dozen toothbrush pack). 2) Thou shalt buy dish detergent and hand soap(if you don’t have any brand loyalty). 3) Thou shalt buy cleaning supplies(trust me… they are loaded in the back of store). 4) Remember to see colors that correspond to the prices that you will pay(or ask one of the associated on the floor if you’re uncertain) 5) Honor the merchandise that has intrinsic defects and has missing components. 6) Thou shalt go through the racks of apparel, especially the baby and toddler ones are quite cute. 7) Thou shalt not steal(yep…that one is the same as the Bible). 8) Thou shalt check out the toy sections(if you have kids, nephews, and nieces). 9) Thou shalt check the expiration date on every item you’re about to purchase(if that’s applicable). 10) Thou shalt prepare for some cash in case the credit card machine is offline(because you won’t spend too much at BIAB). We found a small Keurig capsule rack for $ 5, a 4oz. toothpaste for $ 1, and a large bottle of Suave hair conditioner for $ 2. This BIAB location accessible via CTA #85(Central) bus, and the strip-mall parking is available.

Who needs fancy carts with wheels when you have a cardboard box with a piece of rope tied to it? It sounds ridiculous but it’s true. The«thing» at this store involves you dragging a box attached to a piece of rope around the store and filling it with various treats. And by treats I mean items at discounted prices that are either dying on the shelves at big box stores, overstock merchandise or just random off brand stuff you’ve never heard of. It’s one of those places that has all this stuff you don’t really need but want to buy because it’s cheap and God knows you can use an endless supply of Hanes sleeveless t-shirts right? :) Worth checking out on the off chance they may have something you actually need. Their is also one of these located in Maywood or Melrose Park near a textbook store if you’re ever in that area.
