Beauty 4 Ever

What a horrible place! They didn’t have enough packs of weave to complete a whole head of hair with the type of hair we needed. I hadn’t been in awhile. The Asian man that was behind the counter the last time I visited that beauty supply was grumpy and not too friendly, so I just stayed away. Yesterday I had a horrible experience! My 10 year old child picked up 3 lip glosses and asked me to buy them for her. I told her to put them back. I wanted to get her better ones, not those. The workers were asked by the Asian guy behind the counter to ask my daughter what happened to the lip glosses, because nobody saw her put them back they claim. She said they asked her 3 times. My daughter told them that she put them back where she got them from. The worker began to tell me as he kept looking at the monitor that he didn’t see her put the lip glosses back. He kept saying it, and I questioned my child. It sounded like he was implying that she stole something. What made me upset is the fact that they didn’t see her steal anything, but they were implying that she stole something due to the fact that they weren’t doing their job and paying attention. I asked her if she put them back and to show me where she put them. I told the workers that if they wanted to check her, they are welcome to do so. My child is not that kind of child. She’s never stolen anything before. That’s not something I have to worry about when I take her to the store with me. I began to unzip her jacket, show them what was inside her pockets, and pour out the items in the Walgreens bag she was holding to show that she didn’t have anything. Displaying good character is important to me and my family. Unfortunately, I know this is not the greatest neighborhood, but every Black person is not a thief. I am a teacher and can afford any stupid lip gloss in that store. This is the typical beauty supply/​business that is owned by Asians that take our money, but are prejudice against us. I’m so glad I didn’t find the weave I was looking for, because I wouldn’t spend a penny in that store!
