Cool flavors available and good selection. Lots of variety of teas and topping combos. Never tried the food but they look good.

I’ve been meaning to check this place out since it opened and since we were hanging out with a friend from DePaul, it seemed like as good a time as any to finally see if all the hype was worth it. I think it’s pretty cool that they have options besides just bubble tea(sandwiches, bao, froyo), but with that being said, the bubble tea was just okay. I got a taro milk tea(cold) and it was meh. There were some good and some bad things about this place. Pros: The girls working behind the counter were super friendly which I appreciated, prices were pretty average, the flavor of that honey boba thoooo Cons: I felt the wait was way too long for what we ordered(and the shop was nearly empty), the drinks themselves were pretty meh, the boba was kind of undercooked This one is my fault, but also I recommend ordering your drink with 25% — 50% sweet because I didn’t specify that when I ordered and it was SO sweet that I couldn’t even finish. I’ll probably go here again just for the convenience but this time I’ll remember to make sure I order my drink less sweet(and maybe try a different flavor as well).

Love coming to Bee & Tea on Fullerton! Good, quick customer service, and great boba tea! My favorites are The Purist and anything with Taro milk and tapioca boba. My only complaint is the price, but the student discount helps a bit! Also, The seasonal pumpkin flavored frozen yogurt is INCREDIBLE!

It’s been really hard to find good boba in Chicago, so I’m glad that I found this place! The boba wasn’t hard, and the purist was very yummy. I’m not so adventurous, but I’m sure their other stuff is just as good! I also had the miso steak bao, which was warm and(the good kind of) doughy. I’ll definitely find an excuse to be back!

More here than I expected! Aside from the boba tea, there was also a froyo bar and a fair selection of bao. Contrary to some other reviews, my bao were fresh and tasty; not soggy at all. I also had the Queen Bee with honey tapioca boba; the boba didn’t really have much of a honey flavor, but my tea was good. We dropped in before a concert at Lincoln Hall and enjoyed having the place mostly to ourselves, but it got pretty crowded as a big group of students showed up. If possible, visit during off-peak times so you’re not crowded out.

My wife and I were dragging a bit after a beautiful fall walk around the Lincoln Park Zoo, and this served as a good place for a quick refuel. I got Coco Taro Milk with their signature honey boba. That’s a good time, though outrageously sweet. That sort of what I expect from boba tea, and especially from taro milk, but I saw on the cup that you can order things less sweet. Not sure if that’s the case for taro, but I’ll definitely give it a shot next time. My wife ordered a mango thing, which was on the less sweet side anyway, and totally tasty. Plus they do bao! Chicagoans obviously like their food in edible pockets. We walked by a bunch of empanada places, and a couple of other places that featured bao specifically, and I’d like to check all those places out. The bao here were fine. The bun was a little on the glutinous and chewy side, rather than the puffy cloud texture I prefer, and that their pictures seem to show, but the char siu filling was good, and the shitaki and vegetable filling was really tasty. They’ve also got a stack of board games up front, and various tasty-sounding sandwiches, and soft serve. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit Bee and Tea, but if you need a pick-me-up and are going past one, it’s a safe bet.

I’m a huge fan of forever yogurt and was thrilled that I moved right next to a bee and tea. But the first time I went, my bao to go were the leftover, end of the day soggy, inedible bao. I had to throw them out, whoops there goes 12 bucks. The second time I went, they messed up my order, and when I went to tell them the cashiers argued with me and lectured me on what a smoothie is. I asked for a manager and was speaking with her. Boo.

Their hot milk tea is so unique! It may be the real honey, it has a really fragrant flavor profile. Got their curry chicken bao which pretty much disappointed in comparison to the rest of their menu. Friendly staff. Their place has no bathroom you’ll have to go to the McD’s on the corner. Typically boba college spot for college kids.

Surprisingly, I’m not a huge fan of this place. I’m a little biased by all the delicious boba and tea in cali but for chicago, I would rank this place behind kft and joyee. The tea is very watery and the smoothie doesn’t taste like fresh fruit. The boba is bland. I’m not saying this place is bad but it’s not particularly good. Only redeeming quality is that its super close to DePaul

Love this place… can’t go wrong and never had a bad experience. You can mix your flavors to your liking if the menu looks too over whelming. Food is ok if your in the mood for small sandwiches.

Final update, 8÷8÷15: a full refund was finally given by corporate, so I added some stars. Regardless of the horrible service I received, their bao and tea are delicious. Just ordered 3 bubble tea and 3 bao from this location at 1pm on Thursday, August 6. 1 of our bubble teas came without bubbles. All teas came without straws-for people who are not familiar with bubble tea, the special straw that comes with the tea is imperative for its consumption. When I called the store, they did not offer to send the delivery driver with the correct order, or even straws. She would not even offer a refund. She suggested that we come in during their 5 – 7 happy hour for 1 dollar bubble teas. Update: 1 hour after delivery the store offered to send straws. We went back and forth on the phone for a while, she was not understanding why, after an hour after original delivery, I did not want straws. She would not give me refund. She blamed the outsourced delivery driver and the ordering platform they use. I understand how this works– I also worked in small restaurants. Even if it is the delivery drivers or grub hubs fault, the restaurant still makes it right. I have never received such weird and awful customer service. Still have not received refund.

Sweet staff selling tasty tea drinks– I love a good mint green tea with boba, they had no problem customizing the York beverage to omit the chocolate. Large size is an odd-shaped cup more similar to a takeout soup container than a drink, and it doesn’t fit into any cup holder I’ve ever come across, which was inconvenient. Boba itself was tasty but didn’t taste like honey as advertised. Shop also sells bao and froyo.

As a boba addict, I am always eager to try out new places. My boyfriend and I were wandering around the area after dinner and decided to pop in for a refreshing cup of bubble tea. I originally ordered the coconut taro milk tea, but they were out of coconut, so I opted for the regular taro. The only sizes are 24oz and 36oz, and the cups are quite wide, making it somewhat difficult to hold in one hand. The taro was average, a little too sweet, and the tapioca was too soft/overcooked for my liking. My boyfriend ordered the jasmine milk tea, which was not sweet at all. If it were simply a tea, I would’ve understood, but the jasmine bubble teas I’ve had before at Kungfu Tea and Quickly were all sweetened, so I expected the same to be true at Bee & Tea. I’ll probably continue sticking with Kungfu Tea for now.

I was excited to have a Bee & Tea within walking distance since I usually drive to their original location. Unfortunately I wasn’t that impressed with this one. It seems they have a set menu of options– you can’t really customize(maybe you can if you ask? I didn’t.) I got a taro milk tea and my husband got a black milk tea, both with boba. They were fine, but honestly not as good as the other location. It’s a nice option if you’re in the area but I’d stick to the original. PS this place does have some interesting sandwiches on the menu that the other place doesn’t(but the other place has bao so they win anyway!)

Once again Bee & Tea disappoints in the boba-realm. The boba(or «bubbles» as people in the midwest call it) were hard and chewy; an obvious sign of incorrect preparation, or of them being old. The tea itself was alright. Nothing to get excited about. The only thing that redeemed Bee & Tee was the frozen yogurt. There are special flavors for this combined Bee & Tee and Forever Yogurt and they’re really good! The green tea and the pistachio were both super tasty! The service overall was alright. This place is new so you could tell people were still getting trained, so I don’t hold that against them. Oh, but also this is a really tiny place and the tables are kind of awkward. I had people trying to squeeze behind me when there obviously shouldn’t have been that many tables, so if you’re coming here, you might want to take it to go. The only reason I’d come back is for the froyo. The boba drinks are not worth it.

Never underestimate the amazing taste of a bubble tea smoothie and always try the unexpected. I had an avocado bubble tea smoothie with honey boba, and I will go back today to order the same thing. It was the tastiest smoothie I have ever had. The staff is super helpful when it comes to flavors and recommendations.

I really like this little spot! I’ve only ordered the Pinkerton Bubble Tea which is a combo of green tea, lychee, raspberry and peach juices. I only put honey boba mine and enjoyed this refreshing drink. The staff is super nice, they say hello to everyone who enters! They also helped me decide what to drink since there were so many options. Can’t wait to go back and try all the other drinks!

College students abound here. With a forever yogurt in the back, Bee & Tea doesn’t have that authentic bubble tea shop charm. But when the craving for a sweet, milky tea with chewy tapioca pearls hits, this isn’t a bad place to satisfy it. Apprehensive? Try The Purist with a black milk tea base. It’s smooth straightforward tea fit for novices.

Got the Mangolychous milk tea with popping boba. Price wise, it’s pretty standard($ 3.95 for regular cold, $ 2.95 regular hot, $ 4.95 for large cold, $ 3.95 for large hot) since their regular size is equivalent to a large at most other places. Their large is HUGE. You get one topping for free, on top of whatever topping is included in the drink itself. They have a lot of selections for toppings as well. The taste, however, is mediocre. Our drink tasted pretty watered down – we asked for lite sweetener, so that might have been the reason. They do have pretty interesting drink options(their menu looks very similar to Argo Tea), so I am curious how the other drinks taste!
