This is a cute place to eat at!!! Their coffee is pretty good and I was so disappointed with their chocolate chips cookies! Not freshly baked cookies, maybe it was just bad cookie!!!

They really need to open a little earlier on weekends. Great donuts and coffee cakes.

Another stellar meal at the Bakery. The humble title of Grilled Vegetable Sandwich cannot convey how perfectly this meal is prepared. The vegetables were PERFECTly grilled and balanced with just the right amount of feta(my choice, your options are many) on delicious rye bread. Served piping hot. Warms the cockles of this vegetarians heart.

Terrible service! I ordered a cake for my sons baptism there. First they told me they couldn’t offer me a sheet cake and that I had to go with a round cake which was much more expensive. When I went to pick up my cake the next day, an hour before the baptism, they told me they forgot to make the cake! The place seems very unorganized and only 1 person seems to have answers to questions. They kept telling me, «Ask her, she can help you.» Needless to say, I will no longer be going there.

What a charming little place. This is a great representation of the lovely neighborhood of Beverly. The food is good, nothing mind-blowing, but it’s delicious and each plate taste like it was made with pride. I’ve had the eggs benny, muffins, and a veggie omlet. All good. The roasted tomatoes are super yummy. Coffee is delicious… much better than Starbucks! It’s a nice little neighborhood breakfast spot. You can get your basic breakfasts, some with a spin, but without the after-effects of a greasy spoon:)

Be better if they had fresh oj and bigger portions of food for the price. It was ok. Service was great. Friendly atmosphere. Not for large parties however. Could be cleaner too. Just got splashed with cold water all over legs and feet and up back by waitress who didn’t even say sorry.

This place was great for a quaint dining experience. The staff makes you feel like you’re coming in to Gramma’s or an old time friend’s place. They have an array of coffee that will hit any coffee lover’s pallet and the quality of it you can taste for sure. If you’re not sure what kind you would like to try that day, you can even ask them for the style you want(sharp, strong, smooth, etc) and they will pull up a match you will surely enjoy. The food is clearly made then and there and service is quick. They don’t waste time when it comes to food and take it seriously. I’d highly suggest stopping by this place.

Yum! I had the Spanish omelet with hash browns and it was delicious! Thinner than many omelets that I have had but super good! It had chorizo, peppers and onions! Great flavor. Also had a bite of the French toast and it was great! Perfect bite of something sweet.

This is a place for coffee lovers! Oh they have good food and pastries(lots of pastries to choose from) but the coffee is the real ya-dig! I purchased the Ethiopian and the Bali Blue Moon. Love love love! I can’t stop drinking this stuff!

Very good flavors & variety of both breakfast foods,(including pastries), and coffees. Small seating area & parking lot make it prototypically difficult during peak breakfast times but as thrashed goes that’s the signs your looking for!!! One of the only places I’m aware of in the city you can some times pickup bulk quantities of Jamaican blue mountain coffee. One of the two best breakfast options in the Beverly Morgan Park area.

An outstanding little restaurant in the heart(liver? pancreas?) of Beverly, bolstered not only by its amazing breakfasts but the folks who work there. I’ve long held that people who work at restaurants are just as responsible for return visits as the items on the menu. If you can relate to that idea, then go! I live at least 45 minutes north of Beverly, but need to get my Beverly Bakery fix at least a couple of times a month. Completely worth it.

Another great breakfast at The Beverly Bakery! The French toast made with homemade thick cut bread was delicious and the special with homemade bratwurst over country potatoes with a beer cheese sauce and eggs was amazing! Fresh roasted coffee was perfect as usual. Thanks Beverly Bakery for always taking it up a notch and making things special and delicious!

The coffee alone was amazing. Breakfast and donuts were even more amazing. They brew in house and to be quite honest I didn’t think I was going to like it but I loved it. The service was equally pleasant with everyone knowing everyone. Makes me wish I lived in Beverly. The donut was moist and sweet but not over done. It was perfect. We ordered the salmon Benedict which had cream cheese, smoked salmon, capers and of course hollandaise. It was perfect. Tasted like a sushi roll to me. Loved it. We also ordered the chorizo skillet which came w chorizo, poblano peppers, potatoes and onions. It was good! The potatoes here are so delicious. The cherry on top of our visit was the pancakes. DELICIOUS! Fluffy and perfect. Will be back for sure :)

One phrase to sum it up: a lovely breakfast joint with lots of CHARM. I believe that everyone in the Beverly neighborhood comes to this place at some point of his/her life. It’s rather tiny in terms of dining room space. We were pretty much sitting from shoulder to shoulder with one another. The service was quick, and we were offered coffee immediately upon sitting. Yes, it’s what breakfast places should do: bring me some hot coffee and drink it until feeling the extreme jitter! Oh well, let’s not digress. I ordered the house latte. This cup of magic was the real deal. Don’t under-estimate the power of a family-owned business; it’s where the real food comes from. Then there came with our entrees: smoked salmon omelet for myself; chorizo skillet for the hubby. My man has egg allergy, but there weren’t many things on the menu without eggs. With that being said, perhaps it’s an idea to introduce daily specials containing no eggs or make a substitution for the entrees they offer. My hubby is always too shy to ask for a special accommodation, but he did devour the eggs that came with the skillet. Those eggs appeared to cook appropriately to bland with the consistency of the potatoes. My omelet was good. The only complain was that I wish the omelet portion outweighed the potato portion of the meal. That way, it would have been more satisfying for me. The entire atmosphere was informal. The place can be packed within minutes so the key for coming on Sundays is to come early, ideally before 0900 hour. P. S. There’s a minimum cap for all credit card purchases: $ 10 minimum. An average breakfast entrée is in between $ 7 to $ 13 per person. For sure you will also want coffee, and that will be another $ 3.

If perhaps you haven’t been to Beverly Bakery & Café in a while, you owe yourself a visit. They’ve certainly won me over with upgrades to the menu and service. A(late) breakfast spot on regular rotation, when I get jonesin’ for Beverly Bakery, it means I want Eggs Benedict. I’ll always grab a special if they have one, if not the Bennies on the menu are just as good. Chorizo Benny is my favorite there, with spicy chorizo smashed into a patty. You have to get it with a side of fried potatoes, these perfectly cooked spuds are the best to mop up all the gooey Benedict goodness. And the richness of the egg helps temper the sausage just right. And don’t overlook their coffee roasting. Beans from around the planet, fair trade, rainforest certified, organic, you name it, roasted on site. They got super deluxe Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee too if you want to get premium. Nice, if crowded, room, a few outdoor spots on a deck in the rear, definitely check out Beverly Bakery next time you’re looking for breakfast.

Let me start by saying I love to use local businesses! So I’ve been to Beverly Bakery both for coffee and also to dine in for breakfast. I always thought the food was mediocre and over priced but still a local business at the end of the day. Well this morning my wife tried to go and make a substantial purpose for her entire staff and at 6:55 the door was locked and the staff sat there looking at her through the window. So when she told me I called and asked what time they open. I was rudely told«we are open». I politely said«that wasn’t the question». She replied«well then 7». Bottom line… you can get better food, better coffee, and better service at other spots in Beverly. both locally owned and a chain that starts with S.

I have been wanting to ty this place for at least 8 months now. What was I waiting for? I ended up with a random Friday off and headed over there this morning. Parking seemed to be really easy with plenty of street parking and a side lot off Western. I noticed everyone raved about the coffee here and they were right. I went with the smooth blend and it was good. Our server was so sweet and in chatting with her learned they were recently featured on Chicago’s Best. It seems to have brought people out of the woodwork because this place was packed for a Friday. Every employee was very friendly and helpful to new faces. I ordered the Beverly benedict with seasoned potatoes. I’m not normally a huge fan of hashbrowns, but these were awesome. I was very pleased with my benny and enjoyed the hollandaise sauce as well(I’m picky about hollandaise). I grabbed a chocolate donut on the way out for later(it didn’t last long) and it was delicious. My only regret is not buying more. They offer a very extensive menu– This isn’t just a bakery. Omelets, pancakes, french toast, the list goes on and on. I can’t wait to go back!

So good. Truly surpasses my beloved Starbucks for freshly roasted coffee. Impressive selection of fresh, gourmet coffees… hot and iced as well as sugar-free syrups. The tea and scones are a welcome delight. Grab a buttery pastry, yummy muffin or delightful doughnut to savor. I wish there were more breads and cakes readily available. Argh! Wicked carbs! Cozy neighborhood spot for breakfast or lunch with a small variety of sandwiches & brunch specials. Perfect for settling in and reading the paper or sharing conversation over a quality beverage. The Baristas are lovely.
