This is literally my home away from home, but only on Saturday nights for karaōke. I love Ala, the staff and all of the regulars here. It’s always fun and unpredictable.

Worst bar ever! I wish I could give no stars. Why would someone open a bar that hates people? I was there with a few friends and was made aware very early that we were not welcome. The owner yelled at us, scolded us, glared at us and treated us very unkindly. We were not drunk, we were not misbehaving. A bar owner should expect some level of enthusiasm, otherwise you are in the wrong business. My husband dropped birthday cake on the floor and she screamed at us and kicked my whole party out, even when we offer to clean it up and pay for damages. She lost lots of money because of her intolerance.

Went a few times over a few years. Something really awkward and weird inevitably happens every time. Once there was a really drunk woman who could not have been younger than 50 boasting about how she was pregnant with twins. Her boyfriend was 21. The bartender always apologizes to me the next time I come in about the last time I was in. I won’t be going back after the final last time. I went with some friends to check out the karaōke night. My usual bartender(tall young woman) was not there but who I assume was the owner/her mother was. Only one person from the birthday party crowd in the back of the bar was singing so my group was the rotation. A couple of my friends are in bands and have some stage presence– which is a hit at the bar down the street– but didn’t fly here. The bartender came over and scolded us for being too loud. Are you kidding me!!! The only people keeping the karaōke alive are singing too loud on a weekend!!! We downed our drinks and split. Why they are even having a karaōke night is beyond my comprehension.

2 $ PBR, good neighborhood dive bar. the only bad thing about the karaōke is they won’t let you sing metal versions of songs. snooze cruise!

Don’t let the looks of this place scare you away. Dive bar karaōke at its best. While pounding cheap drafts from a plastic cup, an iconic disco ball looms above as you thumb through the song books. The regulars will amaze you with great singing despite some of them looking like Susan Boyle from Britain’s got talent. The bar attracts a good mix of friendly people and as the night gets late you will see more of the Logan hipsters and the occasional group of girls that feel the need to sing an off key Brittney song. All this is what makes it a fun place to be getting your karaōke on. Some advice though, It’s not a common taxi route so you will need to call for one or deal with a wait if you are hailing one outside.

Great little dive bar– live music one Sunday a month(the 19th is Phil Garno and Jeremy Scott) Karaōke is pretty fun too, just be sure to tip the dude if you want to sing in a row! Cheap drinks, good times :)

This bar could easily have been Thelma & Louise’s first stop on their road trip. It’s a dive in every sense — cheap drinks, Karaōke(Saturdays), pool table and a mix of people that don’t look like they belong in the same place but who seem to get along beautifully after getting a little liquored up. Allah is the owner and she has run the bar with only the help of a female friend and her niece for the past 25 years. She makes a mean Gin & Tonic and her story is pretty badass. Everyone was really friendly — my friend even got a free pool lesson from one of the regulars. It’s a great place to hang.

Dive bar. Dark. Great Karaōke song selection. Even better karaōke performers. All walks of life, but everyone’s friendly. Pool table. Cheap beer. Expensive but strong cocktails.

This place has magnificent karaōke. Now that I’ve moved away I can take moment to yell this to the whole world and not risk my private karaōke spot. The regulars here(of which I counted myself one) take their fun seriously, and people definitely have their jams which you will look forward to hearing every week. Sigh.

This bar is close to our house and has a photohunt machine. There is karaōke on Saturdays. The regulars are all really friendly, except one creepy guy who invited us to his house.

This is my favorite bar! It is walking distance from my home so I can drink and not drive and the Karaōke on Saturday night is the best. The KJ are super friendly;the owner, Ala is awesome, and«the regulars» are very nice people. There are drink specials and Ala runs a tight shift so if you feel like fighting, go somewhere else. You will always find a friend at Bialystock.

A nice little hidden spot in my hood. Just recently discovered it. Really good drink specials, and friendly staff. It certainly has it’s locals, but once you get in and they see your not an asshole, they warm up quickly to ya. The juke box is surprisingly good, and it probably has the cleanest bar bathrooms in the city! No joke.

An old bar with the same old bar flies. Cheap beer and shots but horrible wine. The owner Ala can be a real be-atch when she wants to be.

A great bar to hang out with people at… the changing neighborhood offers a great mix of people. The beer is always cheap and the karaōke on Saturdays is great. One of the best hosts around.
