. I am a victim of Identify Theft twice, now. Fortunately, I have placed a permanent freeze on my credit reports and now I have the only special code(if I can remember where I store it) to have a credit report run on myself, and open that freeze for a couple of days. What a hassle! NOW I AM A VICTIM of a cyber stalker, who threatens to stalk me in person and I am very afraid! And because of , instead of having to sign in, wait in line, and look through records at the County Recorders office, all someone has to do is put in my name and they know all about me and my real estate investment(buying a house) everyone can see where I own property. They see how old I am, my family members names and Blockshopper thinks it is their right to publish this.(Of course you can get protection if you are a police officer or work for the Gov’t; God forbid the general population know about them, or where they work or live,). I want the same protection. I am genuinely afraid. I will write to County, State, Federal people to have my freedom of privacy back; but isn’t that already a law? Of course, it only applies to Big Gov’t again. And BTW; why doesn’t Edward Weinhaus publish his suite number on the Blockshopper site; is he trying to hide too? Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!

I’m as patriotic as they come. However its companies like this that kind of make me lose that patriotism. BlockShopper hides behind the guise of Public Information to publish personal information about people. They have no shame in it and there is nothing you can do to protect your privacy. If your county sells your information to get money and you’ve bought property, your information is probably on this site. Easy to see, easy to find for anyone. I was a recent victim of identity theft and was trying to go through ways to protect myself. I contacted them to remove my information but no they wont. Its public information that anyone and everyone can have right? Its public information at my county clerks office. Its not fair that its hard to find this information by people who may not have access otherwise. It keeps honesty in the housing market right? Maybe it does but I don’t think some crappy real estate search engine is helping those less fortunate. The only way they may consider taking your information off is if you have proof of stalking and have restraining orders and court paper work against stalkers. That doesn’t protect my husband does it? Ive also read that they may start posting information about parking ticket history, divorce and bankruptcy records. The only thing I can say is write to your county, state, federal leaders asking for your privacy back against parasitic websites like these. There is nothing sacred in this country any more. People preying on other people. We are in the decade of the asshole and BlockShopper is king.
