It is about time that this area of Chicago Avenue gain a coffee shop or two. My husband and I took refuge in Bön Appetit on one of those below zero days when any port in a storm would have done, but we were so pleasantly surprised to find a very well-adorned coffee shop selling Illy products in Ukrainian Village. When we walked in, a water wall greeted us along with warm wood tones and artistic light fixtures. The gentleman behind the counter was most accommodating in answering our questions and taking our order. The latte I consumed there was decadently delicious with proper frothing and no bitter taste. We had our choice of coffee bar seating, table seating, or couch seating. The couch beckoned to us. Restroom met my high standard of cleanliness(and it was not frigid like so many coffeehouse). All in all — we will be back when in this area again. ps I see that Humboldt Park is listed as the neighborhood for this coffee shop, but I still think of it as more Ukrainian Village, but I guess that is debatable. The present residents would be able to clairify the neighborhood issue.
