Located at Montrose Ave., just west of Austin Ave., this is a small walk-up restaurant with about 20 seats. Their menu is a traditional hot dog, beef, hamburger menu. It is very clean(including the bathroom) and the staff was very friendly and efficient. We had a Polish sausage sandwich and a gyro sandwich with grilled onions and both were done perfectly. Worth a try!

The food is good, service it good although sometimes rude. Their gyros are the best! Nice little place to have a quick lunch.

I’ve had their chicken souvlaki(kabob) dinner multiple times, it’s always very good. Can also recommend their half chicken dinner. Both are competively priced and in my opinion more tasteful than other restaurants I’ve been to locally.

This is my go to place for roasted chicken! The chicken is tender, well marinated, and juicy. They are also very generous with the rice and potatoes which are included with the meal.

The chicken kabob was ok but not made from scratch thats for sure. There was one other person there which made me wonder. The booths were hard wnd uncomfortable and the owner wasnt very friendly. I will go somewhere else next time. The owner is a very unpleasant unhappy man. If youd be nicer to people they might patronize you more often. Jay at jays beef and his group are super nice and friendly. Guess i will go there next time. You Mr Flip make me feel unhappy and i shouldnt have to be because of u.

Gross!!! I had a pork kabob and the pork was still red on the inside not pink but red! It was not cooked all the way. They put the meat right on the pita and the pita bread gets nasty. This place is a joke.

The gyros is good, but sometimes they cut the meat a little too chunky. The mozzarella sticks are battered instead of breaded like most, and they were quite tasty, but you only get 5. I’ve had the polish sausage before, and it tasted like good quality beef. I would advise Unilocalers to stay away from the corned beef melt and the vanilla shake. The corned beef melt was dry and skimpy, and the meat had a strange smell. The milkshake was the worst I’ve ever had in my life. My shake was very icy and severely lacking in sugar and good flavor.

This is our standby takeout joint. It’s your classic Chicago gyro — hot dog joint and then some. Prices are reasonable, the food has always been satisfying. It is consistent and reliable. Service is good– always polite and happy. I pass many other places that have changed hands over the years and have gone downhill just to go to Broilers.

Decent food. Service was terrible. Got the order wrong and then got rude when I questioned him about it. Then a few guys who worked or owned the place came in and gave me the evil eye until I left. It was definitely not special enough to go back after that act. Plenty of other places for a gyro or burger in the area.

Some of the best french fries that you’ll find on the northwest side of Chicago. The shrimp basket & gyro sandwich are also tremendous. The Italian beef sandwich is subpar, unfortunately.

It’s right in the neighborhood so I’ve experienced it a few times. Probably won’t go again though, chicken dinners are cheaper than other places for a reason, potaoes weren’t very good and neither was the garlic bread. No salad with the dinner either. Wasn’t the worst but not the best either

My wife and I stopped here last nite to pick up a quick bite after our camping trip. I got the chicken souflaki pita. It was the tiniest thing ever! 3 nuggets of chicken, one was 80% gristle too. 2 slices of grilled red onion the size of a nickel, and a few thin tomato slices. Luckily I got the large fries to fill me up. Not worth it otherwise! My wife had the patty melt. The bread was barely buttered when grilled, more akin to eating a cheeseburger on wonder bread! Oh well.

I’ve been driving past this place for a couple of years and am glad to have finally decided t stop in. The chicken special is a good deal. The chicken is prepared well with skin just beginning to turn crispy. Rice was in a lemony kind of gravy. Garlic bread was OK but tasted as if it had been prepared to long ago.

Great little greasy spoon. Prices are on par with mid-upper end fast food. Food has always been really good.

I feel the food is so so, yet I keep going back. Nothing special but if you just get off the montrose or Austin bus and are hungry it will do.

I had not such a great experience at Broilers. The food was so-so at best. Places like this are literally a dime a dozen in this city, so since the hamburgers suck here, I’ll just go elsewhere.
