Too bad this place is rough around edges cause the beer and food were good. Had good selection of beer selections every day and craft brew rotation. Food was also good, like the buffalo wings and sliders. Shout out to the pizzas too. Lots of tv screens to watch a game with a big group. The problem is that the crowd is rough… too rough to stick around in — esp late at night. Try your luck early and take advantage of good beer specials and some wings. Then make ur way out to a safer bar.

I would like to say that I grew up with the owner of this bar and went to school with him at Irving Park Grammar School. In the 60’s Bart’s Collection was a small grocery store where you could get your lunch. The owner lived on Dakin and was a lifeguard at Independence Park. He also graduated as I did from Schurz High School. His family had decorated Police officers, Sergeants and a Fireman that worked at the 17th Police District Department. In the 25 years in business there has not been one single act of violence at this location, his mother and father worked the bar and these statements are heartless and without merit. They have been neighbors to La VIlla for nearly 50 years. This shooting was not caused by other than parents losing control of their children and senseless gun violence. Brudder’s and Mudder’s is Old Irving Park. More people have been married from this nice neighborhood landmark than have been married in churches. Lastly, the real issue is the poor man trying to make ends meet and being harmed by some senseless act of violence.

Last night’s SHOOTING was the final straw!!! When this place was renovated back in 2012, they were NOT supposed to go back to attracting this kind of crowd. I have lived here for 5 years and for a little while it was cleaned up and gang banger-free. Now its back to destroying the neighborhood. Most decent people aren’t going to walk in here once they see dress codes aimed at gang members printed on the entrance! Stop trying to turn this bar into a «NIGHTCLUB» with«Late DJ sets» its supposed to be a SPORTSBAR. Sorry if thats too boring for you people who are running it, but for people who live across the street and don’t want to be shot, I would LIKE a place to go watch a game and have a beer without gun shots coming through the window. What kind of «Sports Bar» can’t allow someone to wear a Blackhawks hat, and actually tells customers that they better take it off because of the gang bangers??! Stop attracting the gang bangers, and let this be a SPORTSBAR. It’s either a gang hang, or is its a sports bar, and you’re obviously picking gang hang over sports bar. Stop ruining my neighborhood with your human garbage gang banging customers who think its a night club. I hope they finally sell this place, not just«New Management» but REALLY sell it to people who are above getting more business when its clearly the WRONG kind of crowd. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

The female bartender at this place tryd being slick and give me a drink with no liquor what’s so ever then tryd to have me pay $ 5 to add a shot… Also, a guy that was in the club with a gun, left and came back inside came from outside was how he got shot. They got that all wrong. Top it off it was over a female with a jealous man. Gentleman if y’all don’t like y’all ladies getting hit on please don’t take them to no getto as bars\grill cause how r other ppl going to know who’s taken… Bitches are bound to get hit on anywhere its life it’s up to the female to go or not. smmfh I can keep going but this is just pissing me off even more that man didn’t deserve getting shot. But besides that it is a good spot to go to but not on a Saturday. P.s Fire that bartender

Place has great music, but service needs to get better. Most of there bartenders don’t know what they are doing. They don’t keep up with cleaning though out the night, biggest one the security is always on there phone. The owner needs to wake up

Was waited on ny the owner and he was very rude. We ordered food and he made us pay before we even got our food. He also grabbed the tips off the bar before we were done, thirsty as hell. We would have kept adding to the tip pile as the night progressed but since he was so desperate for money we didn’t leave more. I have been in the bar business for 25 years and have never seen an OWNER behave so rudely. He was very short with us and seemed like we were bothering him.

I really want to come back here but one day I saw a roach on the counter top. Haven’t been back since.

One of the first bars/restaurants I went to when I first moved to the hood and didn’t know anything about the neighborhood. I live in the neighborhood and this is actually one of my favorite local joints. You get a ton of food with your order. It’s basically two meals for the price of one. Bartenders are very cool and really chill. Always have been a big fan of brudders.

This place has great food. Nice friendly environment. After 9pm on Friday’s and Saturday’s the DJ plays awsome music and the food and drinks are very reasonable. Go give them a try.

This is a rather typical sports bar. The menu is pretty decent and so is the food. But too often I’ve encountered inattentive and seemingly apathetic wait staff. Pros: lots of TVs to watch the game and they have pretty good food and a good menu. Cons: Too often their staff are inattentive, seemingly apathetic and slow. The last time I was there it took nearly 20 minutes to get my tab and they weren’t even busy!

Great staff, oversized servings, always a few good specials. No reason not to try it you won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for a drink and bar food.

I was here recently for a girls night out. When we first arrived there were only a few people, within an hour the place was packed. We were lucky to find a place to sit at the bar. The drinks were cheap and strong just like we liked them. This is a sports bar so you’ll find a pool table, real football helmet décor, & there are daily drink specials for about $ 4. They also offer a menu with a variety of options from wraps, wings, pizza, etc. For $ 10, I got a buffalo chicken breast wrap with tater tots. It was such a huge portion, I shared it with a friend and still had some for the next day. The chicken breast was grilled to perfection and the buffalo sauce was spicy. The music was awesome! It took me back to my high school and clubbing days. They played different genres of music from house, Freestyle, old school salsa, merengue, reggaeton, & bachata. The crowd was mainly an older Latino crowd. I can see myself returning especially to try more food off the menu.

Had a great time with my buddy and waiter was nice. Had the Juicy Lucy and it was delicious. I would definitely be going back on my spare time. It was not busy at all so I guess things might be a bit different.

Unbelievably phenomenal music but waiting 25 to 30 minutes every time you want a drink is just too much. This is a last resort option.

Got delivery. Was pretty decent. Would probably order again. To the idiot that walks into a blue collar neighborhood bar during a Bears game and expects them to turn on tennis? Go back to Wicker Park or whatever hipster craphole you came from! I am glad you will tell all of your hipster friends not to come in this bar! Please visit all the bars I go to and report back so the hipsters will forever not go to them!!! Want a list? I will give you it!

I fully understand that this bar is located within the city limits of Chicago, and that the Bears play football on some Sundays. That being said, when I asked the bartender to change one of the 20 televisions to the US open men’s tennis final, his reply of «I’m not doing that today» was kind of ridiculous. I don’t think that bears fans need every single television to check the score. Thanks for the accommodation, I will not be back. In fact, I plan on telling literally every single person I meet until I die not to step foot in this bar. Sports bar? Try sport bar. Singular.

Great neighborhood bar with awesome food. Love their daily specials, especially Wednesday with 5 buck burgers. Fantastic burgers that I keep coming back for. Wings were really good as well as the giant chicken Ceaser salad. Beer is always cold and a good selection. Never had a problem with service early, but later on in the night it’s best to sit at the bar if you want to get served promptly.

Went on a Friday night, it wasn’t too packed. Good music. Good food. Good prices. Just wish they had more than 1 pool table.

R.A.C.I.S.T. I can’t believe I would actually need to post this type of review in Chicago given the diversity, but it needs to be said. A group of 4 of us came in earlier this evening for a drink or two after dinner. Now I am all about racial profiling in the truest sense of the cause, but the fact that they made my husband walk back to our car in the 30-deg temp and remove his hoodie before we could get in was odd. But if that’s the dress code, then that’s the dress code, and he did w/a laugh and w/o argument. But then we continued to see more and more people let in w/not only hoodies, but much more inappropriate attire. As we left, I called the bouncer(toy cop w/a star badge around his neck) out on the unfair discrimination that was going on. He screamed to me out the door as we left«you know what, we are racist!» I only wish I would’ve captured it on camera. I do not throw that R word out loosely, nor do I like to see it thrown out loosely. If you’re in Chicago, do the world a favor and do not support this place. What a disgrace.
