Horrible customer service. Not even a nod or grunt when checking out. Silence. I’m sorry that I was so polite to you, dear cashiers. Is it too much to expect?

Similarly, I’ve forsaken Burlington Coat Factory some time ago even though I consider myself a discount-thrift-store client. Today, I must announce that this prodigal son has come back to my arms. This Burlington Coat Factory location is so bright, clean, and spacious! I couldn’t believe that I walked into a Burlington. Initially, I had to make sure I wasn’t at the wrong place from the get-go, yet I confirmed that I was indeed at a Burlington. It was a pleasurable shopping experience at this specific location. I now can no longer go back to the one on the State St. However, just like other Burlington locations, their women’s accessory department didn’t seem to have a lot to offer. Their prices on this category were competitive, but they were too generic and qualities weren’t superior. If you’re a fan of Betsey Johnson merchandize, they always have a lot of past-season BJ items at reasonable prices. I used to LOVE Betsey, but I grew out of her stuff and have now moved on to like more subdued, sophisticated designers. Disclaimer: I still think highly about Betsey. I’ve never lost my respect to her and always appreciated her contributions to the fashion industry worldwide. Ironically, the outerwear section of this Burlington location wasn’t that exciting, as far as I could see. Why did they call themselves a «coat factory» when they lack the«coat» selections the most out of all categories? I would say if you’ve, at some point, lost faith in Burlington Coat Factory when you constantly, absolutely find nothing in there, come check this new location out to re-gain some of your trust on this retailer.

Went in here yesterday to do some shopping and unfortunately I didn’t find anything I liked and wanted to have my ticket validated. I was told that they don’t validate tickets unless you make a purchase and that no other stores would do it either… wait a minute, since when do I have to purchase something to have my ticket validated? I am being forced to buy something, anything, just to validate my ticket? Thankfully, the guys over at Dick’s validated it without a problem. Guess what Burlington, you didn’t get my business that time and you’re not getting it ever!

I am a serious discount shopper who had given up on Burlington coat factory years ago. But the new BCF on Canal in the south loop has brought me back as a regular. The store is clean, spacious and bright. The merchandise is orderly and organized. There is plenty of space to zoom around and look at items. Since opening, I have found so many great deals that this is now my go to place when all other places fail me. Burlington comes to the rescue for me time and again. I have found some killer clothes and household items. Every aisle is a new adventure. I recently found several items at Burlington coat factory that were identical to items I found at the Bloomingdales outlet in Rosemont, except the BCF price was about 75% less. Don’t take my word for it, see it for yourself. You will not be sorry.

I love the new Burlington Coat Factor on canal street. I like that there is an indoor parking garage too. The store is new so it’s organized and clean. I like shopping their for the deals on dresses and so far I bought a nice scarf and some throw pillows. I’m looking forward to find some excuse to shop around here.

I’ve been raving about this location since it opened recommending everyone to go… was happy all three visits. Today I attempted to return a scarf that I bought for my boss as a gift, she hated it :-) got to love honesty! My two stars are for the handling of the attempted return. After my honesty was questioned I was so aggravated I asked them to throw the damn thing away. The first two people I encountered we’re attempting to be helpful. I was fairly certain I gave my phone number in case of a return as I had the two previous visits. I assume this expedites in a flawless return.
