Butterfield & Sons Construction

I hired Mike Williams in March of 2015. He was recommended by my interior designer, who had worked with him previously, and neither of us will be calling him again. We had a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom remodel. Mike asked me when he needed to start the project, and I told him ASAP. My husband was having surgery, I had tenants waiting to move into the condo, and he told me no problem. I became suspicious, as the months went by, and it became obvious, Mike had taken another job. He gave me his word, which basically kept changing with each phone call. Bottom line, Mike started June 1^st, three months late, and did sub standard work, since his crew was on other jobs. Shower doors were installed incorrectly, and I had to replace. Tile work had to be redone, and even now the wall behind the shower is unstable. Mike also had to work within the rules and schedule of a condo building. He kept blaming the building, each time he would not reserve the elevator in advance. This small remodel was a nightmare. We should have fired Mike Williams when he kept making promises that he just did not keep. Since he was recommended, and our designer assured us he always finished the job professionally, we trusted he would do so.
I have never met a contractor, and I have worked with many, who fabricated stories, believing we did not know what he was up too, and only stepped up to finish the remodel, with minimal quality, to finish under the threat of being fired. I find it hard to believe that Butterfield & Sons recived 5 star ratings. Maybe he had his act together in 2014… not for us in 2015!!!

I met Mike and the Butterfield & Sons crew through an interior designer. From the moment I met Mike, I knew he was unlike any «contractor» I had ever met. He even showed up in a sport coat! Mike listened, took meticulous notes, offered great suggestions and followed through with a fair quote and timeline. Mike stuck to his timeline, and completed the work while we were out of town, thus, limiting the amount of disruption for our family.
I trust Mike and know that he would correct any situation that may not be right. His communication skills are top notch, and he always responds quickly. I will use Butterfield & Sons in the future, and provide the highest recommendation possible.

I had given up hope on getting my door fixed. After reaching out to 4 different companies, I finally found Butterfield. I cannot even begin to express how amazing these guys are. Incredibly professional, and the quality of their work is outstanding. But I have to say, the best part of the company is their customer service.
Mike worked with me on pricing, completed the project will before I anticipated, and from the first time I talked to him I could tell how trustworthy he is. He’s one of the few people I trust in my home even when I’m not there, and honestly he’s just a great guy. I will definitely be using Butterfield & Sons for all of my condo repairs/​renovations!
