Cafe 330

I work in this building and was excited about a cafeteria opening up. It turns out to be very mediocre and some of the food is downright repulsive. Yesterday I ordered a «grilled cheese.» It came out on dry white bread (no grilling or toasting in sight). I questioned this and the cook said he uses no butter or oil to make it healthy. I say if you want it healthy that should be your option but some people don’t mind a drop of oil or butter-​like substance to make the food edible. This spot will only be my bad-​weather place to go when I don’t feel like going to one of the better places outside the building.

Café 330 is my go to spot for days when I’m too busy to have lunch. It is also great for days when the wind chill is minus thirty, or those days you’ll need Noah’s ark to get back home. In other words, I’m a trapped customer and they know it. Stick with the sandwiches at this place. They’re decent and you can get them toasted so if you like cheese you’re in luck. They’re also over-​priced but like I said, they know they got a trapped customer base. Avoid the salads. $ 8 for a mediocre salad with a packet of Kraft dressing. Not good. If you got time to walk to any of the nearby lunch spots you’ll get better food and quite possibly save a buck or two. If you’re trapped in the building and your choice is between here and a vending machine, go with Café 330.

Café 330 is located on the ground floor of the building at 330 N Wabash Ave. Sign in at the front desk if you’re just a visitor.
Café 330 offers reasonably priced, fantastic range of grab-​to-​go food, and able to toast any items for you, have freshly brewed coffee/​tea. Had Ham, egg and cheese sandwich here at Café 330 and they asked if i’d like it toasted or warm. I had it warm and the sandwich was yummy with gooey cheese and wholesome ingredients. The coffee is Starbucks and self served, so pay at the register and go to the side to fill up what roast you’d like to have. There’s a full self service bar for you to add anything additional you’d like to your coffee/​tea.
