Unexpectedly I ended up eating here and I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the chicken and lamb will definitely be visiting this place again. Their bread is also really good.

I love love love Chapati! I was visiting and stopped here 4 times for lunch! I got the combo platter to share. The chicken tikka, chicken shawarma, chicken kabob, falafel, and hummus really hit the spot. I also like the spinach potatoes. A bit of heat but not too much. Chicken tikka is my favorite. It’s casual inside with plenty of seating. Dunkin donuts is next door. It’s a short Walking distance from union station, the blue line and orange line.

This place is amazing. Their breakfast wraps are to die for! And they also have Cardamom tea. Highly highly recommended!!!

This is my stop before going to work spot, I go there Mon-Fri for my Chicken Shawarma wrap, and is delicious. the owner and staff are very friendly and always welcoming. Love their hot sauce but I always ask for them to put it on the side cause is delicious but super spicy but love it. I recommend this place, I had chicken Shawarma in other places and it didn’t taste as good as the one here.

Chapati? More like Cha-POTTY. Don’t eat here unless you want to risk food poisoning and endure 24 hours of diarrhea, which is what happened to me yesterday. I took a bite of the chicken tikka, felt a weird slimy texture, spit it out and stared in disgust at a chunk of nearly raw chicken. I then annihilated my toilet for the next 24 hours and almost had to take the next day off work. The incredibly disturbing part of this story is that a co-worker of mine had the same thing happen a few months back, which had kept me away from this place until recently. Should have never given them a second chance. Once– a mistake, twice– a habit. Ask yourself– if you can’t trust this business to take food safety seriously, for what CAN you trust them? The USDA says 25% of chickens are infected with Salmonella, which hospitalizes over a million Americans every year, killing almost 400. Me(and my toilet) are just glad to be alive. Thanks for risking my life Chapotty.

I went here for a late lunch with my friend who was visiting from Arizona. I live down the street from this restaurant but hadn’t tried it yet so it was the first time for both of us. The man behind the counter was extremely friendly and inviting. Without us even asking he gave us each a little tasting cup and proceeded to explain all the dishes and gave us each a taste of all the main dish options. Everything they make is homemade from scratch and it’s all really delicious. My favorite was the chicken tikka. I will definitely come back and would highly recommend this place. The hours are kind of weird(they close at 4pm) but they’re located in the west loop so that makes sense for the location.

I’ve eaten here few times and the food is authentic, very good, and reasonably priced. The service was great and meals reasonably priced. The place had a buzzing atmosphere and busy. I’ve had exceptionally good meals each time I came and tried the great daily specials as well. Fresh juice blends are delicious!

This place is near my work and across from another place Mediterranean also that I have eaten at so we thought we would give it a try. The place is very clean and it looks like the man behind the counter may be the owner which I like to see! it shows that he cares about his business enough to be hands on! He offered my coworkers and I free samples so that we could expand behind the typical chicken sandwhich. Being middle eastern myself I will admit I can be picky at times when it comes to middle eastern food. However, this place was good! the food tasted fresh and had great flavor. The only negatives though that I would have to say is the food portions aren’t very much. I got the sandwhich and I could barely taste the chicken past the bread… also the young lady working im not sure we caught her on a bad day but she wasn’t welcoming friendly and almost seemed bothered to be making the sandwhich. I would come back if I don’t have a huge appetite and want something light

I went here 3 – 4 weeks ago with my family, and have been meaning to write a review for this place since it was SUCH an amazing experience! To begin with, as soon as we came in, the owner was extremely helpful in explaining the food and the ethics was amazing. The gentlemen and his spouse were very accommodating, and the food was absolutely excellent! In addition to the flavorful food, they have a nice juice bar, and the juice I ordered(The Ginger Splash) was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I’d definitely recommend it — especially for lunch, they have great portion sizes too!!!

The place had potential but they are can be scant with the amount of food(rice does not count). I got the platter which comes with 2 meats and 2 salads. I expected a lot of food but they don’t seem to allow other toppings like onions or extra sauce. For 8.99+tax, they need to be more generous for me to be a returning customer. Bengyhuda is still my fav. Taste wise, the food is decent.

As a south indian cannot give more than 3 stars to this place. But in Mediterranean point of view it will get 3.5 stars. i use to work in opposite building, so use to go to this place everyday in the morning and some times in the afternoons. egg roll and chai is soo good for break fast there.

Chicken boti is good! That’s it in the whole combination platter. I agree with other reviewer that the whole plate was so lackluster and not worth for $ 10.

Everything awesome, best food in downtown. Come to try on Monday and Friday chicken briyani special menu. Wednesday chicken burger and Thursday triple cheese burger.

Good idea but poorly executed. Falafel is cold and hard as a rock, basically inedible. The salad is totally lackluster, the lettuce and tomatoes are tasteless. Lentil soup was at least warm but nothing to write home about.

Decent food but the owner refused to honor certificate(he said they also do not honor Groupons either).

This place is amazing. As far as lunch options around Union Station go, this should never be overlooked. Fresh ingredients, amazing flavors, friendly owner/staff, and extremely reasonable prices. You can’t really ask for much more than that. The business lunch special at Chapati is the best deal in the area — servings of rice, chicken shawarma, gyro meat, felafel, chapati bread, a can of soda, and choices of Mediterranean salads and fresh vegetables as sides is a ton of food for only $ 8. The homemade hot sauce is delicious as well! I would much rather give them my business than the larger chains in the neighborhood.

First time caller. With all the good Mediterranean joints in the city I was pretty underwhelmed after my first visit. Ordered the hummus shawarma plate — both the hummus and shawarma(chicken) were decent. The hummus had a nice creamy-ness taste to it however the plate itself was just a pile of slop after assembled. At most places the hummus will hold its own after toppings are added on top, but this stuff must be of thinner texture because it just ended up as a soupy mix when topped with Jerusalem salad, tomatoes and hot sauce. Didnt really matter all that much in the end as its all going to the same place(MYBELLY) but it was a little messy to eat. Especially with that bread — it didnt leave much to be desired. Much prefer a traditional pita. Theirs is essentially just a very thin wrap/tortilla type of bread which makes for difficult slopping up of the above mentioned soupy mixture. Oh and the pickles — they were pretty bad. Like diner or ballpark quality dill pickle slices that likely came from a 20 lb jar from Gordon Food Service. Staff is super friendly but the restaurant itself didn’t seem well kept — the pop machine was out of order, trash cans over flowing, and napkin holder was empty. Seems as if they were newer so maybe they’ll work out the kinks soon. Do want to try the breakfast too — as the words Gyro Omelet were staring at me from the menu board.

This is pretty much a fast food place, so don’t expect to be blown away. That being said, the food IS pretty good, the prices are great, and the staff is SOFREAKIN’ NICE! I think the owner is often around and he’s always super respectful and«grateful.» I don’t mean he’ll grovel for your patronage, but that he is pleasant when greeting customers(something that’s rare for many establishment owners).

Serviceable fare near Union Station. Nothing to write home about, except to tell Mom you had a healthier meal than other fast food joints. Grilled meats(e. g., shawarma), falafel, rice, salad. Fresh fruit & vegees juices; why no smoothies? Tasty baklava.
