Great neighborhood bar! Excellent for meeting up with friends or having a date night. While considered by some to be kitsch, I find their cash only business to be a major drawback.

Great local spot! I wish I liked beer because the list was huge — a pity they don’t have more than a couple of wine options. Cash only is a bit of a surprise but it worked. Nice neighborhood spot.

Cool bar. Music was weird but it was Halloween. Three Floyds on draft will almost automatically warrant 5 stars, but there were other great options as well. Didn’t get to try any cocktails but maybe next time. Looks like an old bar with a cool history tucked away on a residential street. Cash only, ATM in the back.

I stopped in with an old pal who used to frequent this place a long time ago when she still lived in Chicago. As a first timer I, too, now have warm fuzzy feelings about Charleston. The original bar is gorgeous, and the atmosphere is dark and cozy. Our bartender was lovely and friendly. I asked her to recommend a light girly beer, and she suggested Hell or High Watermelon. Loved the beer with a slight watermelon scent and after-​flavor. We talked to some other friendly folks while we drank our beers. I had a good experience here. I’d go back to reminisce next time my pal’s back in town.

Great little neighborhood cocktail bar! I was confused because the description on Unilocal said «dive bar» but this isn’t a dive at all. Any place that can make a Last Word and a Sazarac of that quality is no dive bar.

Love this place. Come with friends or alone and enjoy yourself. Nice list of beers and after a quick chat with the bar tender, you can have yourself a unique and delicious cocktail. I enjoyed two different cocktails and watched the street traffic on a early rainy evening. Lovely. Cash only and priced like you might expect for the area. I’ll be back to relax either solo or with pretty much any group of peeps.

After having a great time @ Dannys me and my crew decided to check this place out as it was suggested by someone who had been here before.
We made it over around 11:30 and the place wasn’t too crowded, but it was a nice crowd. The music was rocking some 90s and 2000 classic tracks which caused an explosion on the dance floor or what we made a dance floor which is the open space past the bar and leading to the back. There is seating against the wall if you have a nice sized group. Good beer list here which kept us right where we needed to be in terms of mental state.

Relaxed, not crowded, neighborhood bar. Good place to drink with your friends or date, but probably not to meet people. And you know they are hip because they play vinyl.

Love this neighborhood bar. It’s low key, comfy and has good cocktails. Late on weekend nights, it gets a little more lively with more people, music and they have a photo booth.

Came here somewhat early on a Friday night and even though the place was not super packed, it still took about 20 minutes to get a drink… you shouldn’t have to fight for such privilege in a bar.
Pretty interesting crowd, but the bar is not at all divey as some of the descriptions read. Hard to be divey when you are next to city mansions. Drinks were decent and prices weren’t too crazy. Make sure you wear a low cut shirt or something in order to get attention to order drinks though!

This place is SEXY and I love the dark cozy vibe. It’s even better that it’s right down the street from my apartment! Just a cute little neighborhood bar filled with really friendly folks in the heart of Bucktown. The first time I came here was after a long day of moving they had gumball head on tap which was the perfect way to conclude the evening. So far this is my favorite bar in the area for some reason I can’t quite put my finger on. Just overall a good feeling when I come here. Can’t wait to come back for a late night brew.

How is this listed as a dive bar? I stopped in here on Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised.
The cocktails are very nice. It was a hot night so I ordered a refreshing Moscow Mule. It wasn’t served in a copper mug, but that’s okay. It was still pretty tasty.
The atmosphere was trendy with carefully placed lighting and beautiful woodwork. This is a great place for a date night.
The cocktails are good (about $ 10) and they have an extensive beer selection.
I found the ladies room puzzling. Behind velvet drapes is a vanity and mirrors but the area is so dark, I can’t begin to imagine what you are supposed to do there. Check your make up? In the dark? Weird.
Also, cash only, friends! There is an ATM there.

I enjoyed our time here. They have great Old Fashions and Manhattans. The décor is cozy wood and random lighting. The bar tenders were unmemorable and patrons were friendly.
I would not call this a dive bar like it is listed as. The only way it is dive-​y is that they are cash only. This is the reason they have 3 starts versus 4. My friends and I would have stayed much longer had we been able to open tabs. Dealing with cash while out with a bunch of people late at night is a headache.

Cool neighborhood place. Seems to have some live music often as well. Drink prices are definitely right on track considering the good quality of them as well. Also, if you’re a beer drinker, they’ve got plenty to choose from!!!
