I have been disappointed every time I go. Their food is never hot and fresh. It has been microwaved and nuked. Their fries are good but if u take the veggies away they are worst than McDonald’s. I have waited no longer than 2min at their drive through, so how fresh could their food be??? Must be too much to ask for to cook ur food!

This place use to be a Checkers back in the 90’s. Then it was changed to some law firm I think, then an income tax place, insurance place, and a bunch of other stuff. Now its a Checkers again. Go figure. Maybe they should of left it that. Its located in not the best neighborhood due to high crime. Its about half a mile from where Derrien Albert was killed. But its on Halsted which is a very busy street with a high police presence and safe and its only a couple a miles from Beverly which is one of the safest, if not the safest neighborhood in Chicago. The reason I’m saying this is because some uppity Northsiders or people from the«good safe parts» of Chicago may consider making that dangerous trek to the Southside to try it. I mean despite the fact they just did a drive by on Michigan Ave last year, and pick-pocketing, rapes, stabbings, and muggings happen daily in the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, etc. Yet they’re still afraid of the scary scary SOUTHSIDE. Anyway the food. It doesn’t taste anything like I remember. When I went there seemed to be a lot of very young high school kids probably working their first job. The fries I got were cold. A little colder than room temperature. The cheeseburger I got was cold to, but the ingredients fresh. Hopefully with some time, they’ll remedy these issues and become the Checkers I once knew and loved.
