I love Chef Daddy’s. I have been coming since they opened and have always come away with a good meal. Most of the time it is lunch but I did get by this past Sunday and had enough for 3 days. The staff is pleasant and bend over backwards to make sure you have a good experience.

Someone recommended this restaurant on Facebook so I decided to try it today. I got turkey wings, dressing w/gravy and cranberry sauce, greens, mac n cheese, side of candied yams and corn bread. So for my $ 14 it was a nice size portion. Now let’s talk about taste. The turkey wing was very over cooked I’m talking about crunchy lol. There were some pieces underneath the skin that was edible. The mac n cheese had sugar in it so it was sweet probably would have been good without it. The greens were okay. I kinda liked the dressing and candied yams. Overall it was okay but not enough for me to go back. Sorry!

I love the greens and the candied yams. Also love the meatloaf. The chitterlings are clean but can be cooked a little longer.

the mac n cheese was greasy as ever and the meat looked like it had been sitting hours but certain things i was told could be made to order ??? the mac n cheese side order was the only thing i thought was«safe» i stuck the fork in there and it was grease dripping off of it ! my stomach can not take past one fork of grease no thanks … i will support any family business but I won’t spend my evening afterwards praying to the«porcelain God» Smh

This place has horrible food that will give you stomach ache. Greasy, cold, old meatless ribs that frankly have been drowned in ketchup. If you want to feel sick shortly after consuming the food go here… absolute waste of money. I would never recommend to anyone.

This is a nice cozy place for a quick, cheap, soul food meal. I saw this place from the Chicago Food Group on fb and I had to try them. For $ 4.99 you get a meat, &2 sides. I had the smothered chops, greens, yams, & white rice. The food was DELICIOUS!!! The service was even better. I’ll definitely be going back to try other delicious items they offer.

Delicious soul food for a great price! Got the rib tip dinner for $ 8.50. The mashed potatoes were incredible!

I purchased a smothered chicken dinner price was $ 5, dinner comes with two sides and old piece of cornbread and 3 small chicken wings. My chicken wings was undone bloody ass hell in the inside food was horrible. I’m trying to upload pic of chicken for proof smh! Never again.

Food like grandma or great aunt would make. Soul food lunch for $ 5 a bomb on everything, but the dressing is so good it made me ask my momma wtf she been doing. You won’t regret having this meal.

Great food at an affordable price! We went with another couple and both families spent $ 20 each… you can’t feed 4 adults &2 toddlers for that amount of money at any fast food restaurant. And of course I would prefer a home cooked meal without the labor any day! I will definitely have my side items for thanksgiving catered by them. I can’t wait to see them on Sunday to try out their dressing and my friend said I missed out on their potato salad so I have an excuse to go back within the same week! #DontJudgeMe #Foodie #Yum

I love soul food but, I do not love the process of prep and cooking. So, I was looking to try out a new place. CHEFDADDY does not disappoint. I ordered a lil of every side, mac n cheese, string beans, collard greens, okra and had an order of the turkey ribs. The infused flavors touched every palette on my tongue. The sweet, the sour, the zest and the spice. I highly recommend calling your order in, they were extremely busy with walk ins. I can only imagine the line that will be standing down the block for this place. Get your fix in before everybody else catches a whiff from their smoke house.

I have never written a food review before, but felt I had to do so after having a Turkey Leg with meat that fell off the bone. I truly feel like I have discovered a hidden gem. Right off of the green line Austin stop, on lake street bordering Oak Park, you can already smell the aroma of the charbroiled oven. Please bypass the Churches chicken, look up and see the sign«Chef Daddy’s» around the corner. I love southern food, but since I don’t eat beef or pork I thought it would be a challenge. I could not have been more wrong. I had my options of Turkey leg, BBQ Chicken, Freshly made Greens, Baked macaroni and cheese, Corn Bread, and for all of you pork lovers… the line during dinner would not end for their St. Louis style ribs. The Chef himself is from St. Louis, so the diner provides a positive family friendly, clean environment, with St. Louis collage mascot logos on each side of the wall. He even gave me a tour and showed me the inside of the charbroiled oven, that gives Chef Daddy’s food that special St. Louis touch. Their special«Five Dollar Hallar», which includes two sides and an entrée, had me so full, I regret not taking their potato salad, they were kind enough to let me sample, to go. Southern style flavorful, charbroiled soul food, cooked from scratch,…truly a mouthgasmic experience, and I hope I had you at «Fell Off The Bone».
