in my opinion, best schwarma and sampler lunch special. if I were to have once last meal on this earth, this place would be up there as my top 3. in addition to their schwarma and sampler plate, I’ve had their baba ghounish and chicken breast pita. the owners have been talking about introducing meat and veggie filled pastries which i’m looking forward to as everything is excellent and authentic.

Found on Unilocal and ordered. The gyro platter was SO good! Greek fries were not good, won’t order those again. I’ll def order from here again!

Stopped in here cause I was taking back roads home and I was starving. Ordered 2 chicken schwarmas and they were cold with not much meat. Not good at all.

Damn good, let me come back and get it again, that chicken shwarma sandwich is the bomb kid… they have their own parking lot. Sweet place, super clean, lots of room to sit and mingle. Tasty, will return and get another star up…

Delicious food, staff is friendly, their jokesters too ;) a little pricey! They always charge me full price for babaganuche, even though I ask them NOT to serve me hummus, which is included in the entrée, as well as no pita bread… Bedsides that, super good food !

After reading all the positive reviews, I was eager to try this place out but after yesterday’s experience I’m regretting that. I ordered a vegan falafel and a beef kabob dinner. They seemed to be frantic the entire time and there was definitely tension between the staff. I used a coupon I got on Unilocal and the guy seemed confused about it. Luckily he figured it out and waved the few cents left. I initially asked for the salad with the falafel, but saw that the rice was good. So I asked if I could switch it to a rice instead of a salad and they initially said yes. Then they tell me no cuz it’ll be another 25 minutes till its done(mind you, I’ve already waited about 10 minutes). So I said forget it, just get me the salad. Then another 10 minutes go by and the guy calls me over again. He tells me that the dinner is supposed to come with rice too and it’ll be done in another 15 minutes. By this time I’m already frustrated and would rather just get my food and leave, but the reviews raved about the rice so I said I’ll just wait for the rice to be done. So I asked if they could do the rice for the falafels as well and they looked all frustrated about me switching my order. YO if you’re going to make me wait for 35 minutes, I expect to get what I want. The staff knew I was not happy about the wait and miscommunication, so I expected to get something comped. Nope, nada. And right when I was grabbing the food(40 minutes later), the guy tells me to grab only ONE pop can from the fridge which comes with the beef kabob dinner. Ok wow. You can’t throw in another one for the inconvenience? Finally got home an hour later and started eating. The rice was good(that’s why they got 2 stars), but the beef was dry and the falafels were okay. All in all, I don’t think I’ll be coming back again. The customer service was severely lacking and the rice wasn’t good enough to ignore the dry beef.

I love that this place offers multiple Unilocal deals! The workers were so nice and friendly. I enjoyed that you could see how they were making your food from every angle! Portions are large and the restaurant was simple and clean.

I often get delivery from here and I hope they continue to do well because the food is damn good. Only knock is sometimes the delivery can take too long. It’s usually the owner delivering. He’s a funny and really nice dude. I’m truly surprised at these reviews. This place is a gem. I haven’t had many better chicken shawarmas than theirs. Taking the foil top off its little cozy cocoon evokes the joys of Christmas morning. It’s on the long/skinny side, but the way the pita is a little crispy and the hot sauce goes so well with it, everything is seasoned so perfectly, and you peel the foil away with each bite, the thing is just a delight. Their baba ghanoush is a little smoky and just so freaking good. They also have Vimto which is like an Arabic cream soda. Weird, but awesome. Like the rest of it.

This establishment is close to where my wife works, so we decided to have lunch here. We had the Chicken Shawarma sandwich and it was delicious. The grill it on a panini press to give the sandwich a crunchy edge. As a side dish, we had the Jerusalem salad and Hummus. The salad was evcellent with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, while the hummus was creamy. Overall, an evcellent stop and healthier alternative for lunch. The owners are friendly and are happy for your business.

Ordered delivered and got it very quick. The food was so awesome!!! Totally recommend you try the hummus and make it spicy for a extra kick. The lentil soup was by far the best I’ve had around here. The only negative was the lack of pita for a large hummus.

Ok, just ok. I ordered the chicken kabob dinner which in other restaurants is usually rice, potato, salad, u know a dinner! What I got served was a kabob sandwich on pita with some rice. That’s it! For abt nine or ten bucks! The flavor of the rice was blah and mushy, the kabob sandwich was also blah. I won’t be coming back to get my Kabob dinner fix here again. Too pricey for the portion. Also b careful in that lot, it’s super tight!

Ordered gyros, greek fries, falafel and fattoush salad. My only complaint is with the fattoush salad. I’m used to the salad being quite big with lots of leafy greens and veggies. I ordered 1 large($ 4.99) and 1 small($ 3.49) fattoush salad and couldn’t believe how small they both were, not to mention the lack of actual lettuce. Other than that everything had good flavor, and the staff was friendly.

Wow! Finally a good Mediterranean place nearby the brickyard to eat without haVing to drive far. I came not expecting much, but when I tasted the hummusi was sold. We also order the Sultan Combo Plate and I was surprised how delicious this was and at a great price. Well definitely be Coming back more often!

Come to Chicago’s Pita Grill for chicken shawarma sandwich — you’ll be hooked! You could definitely taste a difference in freshness of the housemade pita bread and tahini sauce. Chicken was seasoned well and juicy. They add pickles and onions to it, which is unconventional, but those pickles are amazing!!! I think it worked up my appetite more. I also like how the sandwich is wrapped so you can unwrap the first half and work your way down. All the excess juice neatly falls to the bottom. The portion was just right for lunch, but I could eat two if I was starving. My only issue was that the lentil soup ordered for carryout was spoiled. It was sour, and I’m surprised that there wasn’t protocol to catch stuff like that. More of a watery consistency, but flavor seemed to be okay if it had not turned bad. Conclusion: Shawarma is excellent. I would have second thoughts about ordering soup again.

My family just can’t get enough of this place the food is bananas people and not only is the food great! But it’s consistent, we have all gone some where and thought wow that was pretty good only to go back and it’s was just blah the second time around how frustrating and that usually leads to me never returning. This is a family business and you definitely get that family vibe if you dine in the owner Mario is hilarious and always cracking jokes serving you excellent food with a smile the place is great the service is great and the people are awesome I’d recommend this to anyone that wants to have a great meal enjoy a nice environment and leave with a full belly and a smile on your face!
