The rice was too dry for me and the chicken and broccoli was okay

Ordered from here with my coworker today because it was a very busy day and neither one of us had time to leave the store. Delivery was about 35mins which was ok but when the food arrived I was just upset! I ordered the lunch special which was the number 17 Bourbon chicken and when you I tell you that was the driest chicken in my life omg!!! I called to speak with them and they flat out told me that’s the way they prepare the dish and when I said I wasn’t happy he said well that’s our style and I don’t care if you don’t like it!!! Needless to say I’m still hungry but one things for sure I’ll never in life order from here again!!!

Worst food EVER! Ordered lunch special Mongolian Beef. Only thing special about it was that it was served last week. Beef was terrible, tough, and served in salisbury steak gravy. The chicken fried rice was so dried out and tasteless that this ended up in the garbage after a few bites. Won’t ever eat here again. Disgusting!

We were coming back from Menards after revising our kitchen layout when we passed China Chef. This is a small storefront Chinese restaurant @ Dunning Square, 4042 N Narragansett. The restaurant is nothing fancy. The food is ok, but nothing to rave about. I got the combination plate with shrimp egg foo young(pretty good), chicken fried rice(ehh average), egg roll(probably the best item) & crab Rangoon(more like cheese Rangoon). My wife got the beef noodle soup which had beef(gristley), noodles, & Bol choy. Her brother ordered the chicken & pea pods which was pretty good(the pea pods were perfectly cooked(still green & nice & crispy)

This place is a dump! The Owner or who ever he is, is a complete a-hole! He is always rushing you to make your order and is giving attitude when you ask about certain items on the menu. There food is garbage. The only thing good about this place is the smoothies! Best smoothies! That is the only thing I would recommend on their menu!

This place is close to my house and it’s a pretty decent Chinese restaurant. I recommend their Mongolian beef. Prices are pretty good and the owner is very friendly.

Ordered either undercooked or expired pot stickers, vomited like a fountain for 3 hours straight. Need I say more?

Ordered here for the first time for pick up. When I called to place my order, the guy on the phone sounded ride and in a hurry to hang up. My food was ready when I got there which was the best part. When I got home, my husbands orange chicken was burnt to a crisp. My general tso’s chicken was burnt as well but not as bad as his. I called and told then it was burnt and they offered for us to come back and get another orange chicken for no charge. That was was also burnt!

We ordered takeout from there again. This time they seemed to have a different chef. everything we had was really really bland. The chicken, the soup etc. not sure what happened.

If you stick to the simple stuff like fried rice, they make it alright.

The best Chinese food in the city! Very nice people, they always recognize me and know what I want. The lunch special is excellent. Their beef is very rich, as is their orange chicken. The food isn’t as greasy as other restaurants either. The best part? They don’t give you regular fried rice, they give you chicken fried rice with your order. And it’s fresh with white meat! There isn’t an excess of sauce either, your food doesn’t swim in Sauce. I doubt you will finish it, it’s just like buying two meals! Everyone who came here loves it.

For some quick Chinese delivery, it was actually pretty good! I’m picky about my Chinese take out and in general don’t love places like this and prefer authenticity. But you know, when the craving for some fried rice hits, beggars can’t be choosers. My dude and I each got a dinner to share. The dinners are about $ 8 and come with tons of chicken fried rice, an egg roll, two crab rangoons and a pop. Our entrees were egg foo young and pork chop suey. All surprisingly good and for a really reasonable price.

Good Chinese food and there quick if you call ahead. My wife and I usually get Mongolian beef, fried rice and egg rolls and try a new item we never tried. A good place for carry out in the hood

What a let down!!! Reviews lead me to believe this is top notch Chinese cuisine, but not for my palate. Bland, dry, undercooked food. True, There’s lots of food, but who cares when it’s not worth eating

We had great take out from here. Loved the hot wings, mongolian beef was perfectly spicy, combo lo mein was delishous. Veggies were crisp and fresh — its a great local spot with friendly owners and good prices.

Some of the best Chinese food. The family that owns this is really cool, they’re very close with my family as well. The food is good as hell, but again, its Chinese food. It’s pretty solid, it’s good all around. Quick delivery, and definitely cheap and delicious.

Excellent food! Fresh, light, not greasy at all… and possibly the best fried rice I’ve ever had. Big chunks of white meat chicken with no gristle. Crispy veggies, delicious sauces, and large amounts of food for the price. They will happily make your food without MSG, and it still tastes great. This is my new spot.(Sorry Jess Café, you have been replaced!)

China Chef is your average, neighborhood Chinese food joint. I see a couple of bad reviews, but really, I’m not sure what they were expecting. They’re not trying to be Chinatown/Downtown fancy or anything. Sometimes, you just need a decent neighborhood staple. I head to «the Chef» here when I want some Chinese food because it’s close to home and always consistent. They have vegetarian options that aren’t greasy and heavy(although they have fried stuff, if that’s what you’re looking for!). The smoothies with tapioca are pretty good. The owner is super nice and recognizes me every time I come in. They’ve never gotten my order wrong and are always very nice. They deliver and it’s usually fast(under 30 minutes, even if they quote longer).
