My favorite little neighborhood bar! Great staff, wonderful drink specials and steel tip darts… what more can you ask for. Recently they expanded and offer pool and shuffleboard. This bar is mine and my boyfriends«go to» spot for fun and friends!

Megan is the best bartender I’ve encountered so far. Great service. Very fantastic at her craft. It was nice meeting her.

Bartender was so friendly and service was quick, although it wasn’t very busy last night, so that may have helped. Beer selection was OK. Beers on tap were limited, but that was fine. This is a fun local neighborhood bar for a relaxed night, love it. We ordered appetizers, which I found out were from Emmit’s across the street — best bar food! I recommend the Irish Potato Boxty. Divine.

What a sad excuse for a bar. My party of 6 sat at a table for 10 minutes before we were given menus. Another 10 minutes pass and our sad excuse for a bartender finally comes back to take our order. What was she doing in the mean time? Talking to other customers. Probably because we look like«hoodlums» in our hoodies. Who knows. 10 more minutes pass and she isn’t even pouring our beers. To top it off, she comes back and forgets my drink order. What a terrible excuse for a bar and bartender. We asked about their nacho bar and they said they had to «restart» it. What does that even mean? Also, they need to stick to their soundtrack and stop switching the song mid track. I can officially say I despise this bar. They don’t serve food. You can order food from the bar next door. Our solution? We’re going there instead.

We came here Thanksgiving night. We were orginally set for Richard’s Bar, across the street, but I walked in, took one breath, and walked out, after taking a few puffs of my inhaler. It’s a total smoke fest in there. Anyways, I asked someone outside, «where can I get a beer without having to burn my clothes in the morning?» Yo. I walked across to Clover and went inside. It was warm, not too crowded, and someone had a dog there. The beer menu was decent, with some solid IPAs and craft beers, and the bartender was responsive. If you like Jenga, they have a few gigantic versions set up for your amusement. Apparently, this is an Iowa bar. I’m not sure if it’s Iowa State or Iowa Univerity nor if there is more than one. Overall, not a bad place. I had a few decent, tandom conversations. The dude with the dog was letting him walk around aimlessly and then would get ticked if someone pet him. Beers are $ 6 – 8. They have a jukebox and TVs.

Iowa Bar!!! Gamedays are real fun with a raffle at halftime where you can win some pretty sweet prizes. Service is great and staff is friendly. Free self-serve walking taco bar brings me back to IC… Wide selection of beers and they serve food from the adjacent restaurant. LET’S GOHAWKS!

I had a great time here watching the iowa football game, they had good drink specials-$ 420z bud lites and $ 9 pitchers, plus free walking tacos! I also won an iowa hoodie from the free raffle you can enter just by walking in, it didnt get too packed but still had a good crowd, also free popcorn, and after iowa won we got free fireball shots, it’s now my favorite place to watch iowa games in chicago

Jess and Anna are friendly, fast and make you feel apart of the hood. They remember your name, and treat you like an old friend. Quaint neighborhood bar, great for sports, and reasonable priced drinks in a rather pricey area. Thankful for bars like the Clover.

The Clover is everything you could ask for out of a neighborhood bar! good specials and beer selections, free popcorn, a lengthy bar with plenty of seating, and plenty of TVs to watch sports.(Not to mention a complimentary nacho bar for Blackhawks games). Oh, and Giant Jenga or darts anyone? There’s always an upbeat friendly vibe in this place. What REALLY sets Clover apart is the staff– Jessica and Anna are absolutely fantastic. Friendly, accommodating, quick service– they’re awesome. My husband and I have lived nearby for a year now and it is hands-down our favorite neighborhood bar.

Clover is one of the most fun and lively bars I’ve been to in Chicago. It attracts a pub crowd that is generally made up of staff and patrons that want to drink and mingle, with a strong distaste for solitudinous sobriety. Great place to start or top off a night with friends. But if you go, promise me you’ll keep it light and friendly! Btw– Jessica, Jamie, Hana and Luis fucking rock. Also the bartender, I think his name is Devin, who coined me as the«sleepy surgeon.» For Unilocal’s peace of mind, I’ll let you all know that I’m not actually a surgeon, clover just happens to brew aspiring comedians.

I love walking into Clover after a long day at work. The staff is friendly and very pleasing to talk to and the great beer selection doesn’t hurt. Good place to watch sports as they have plenty of TVs! They always have the sound on for Blackhawks games but never too loud so that you can’t hear your friend sitting next to you. I wish I could give this place more stars!

Went here Saturday night with a group of friends. The two bartenders were absolutely amazing! They were so fun & engaging. I wish I could remember both of these ladies names because they really did make our evening such a fun experience!!! The jenga & popcorn kept us entertained for hours. :-)

I love Clover. I moved nearby around June, and this place has become my go to place to grab a quick beer or get a night started with Friends. They have specials all the time(get a PB&J!) and a pretty diverse selection of beers, usually with plenty of chicago local brews. Come Friday/Saturday nights, it is usually pretty full, but very laid back. Giant Jenga is hilarious to play with a group of friends, as each block has a dare for you to do. There is also free darts and all you can eat popcorn. They also have lots of TVs, and is an ideal place to catch a Bulls/Bears/Blackhawks game. If you want food, they can order from emmitts next door and deliver, but no in house options.

I moved across the street a few months ago and this has become my favorite spot to either start or finish the night. The prices are good, there is a neighborhood feel, the staff is extremely friendly and Sasha, my precious pup, is always welcome as are other well behaved and reasonable four legged companions. It’s is a Hawkeyes bar, but hey, no one is perfect.

I took a date to this bar so we could see the blackhawks game. The atmosphere is nice however they refused to play the blackhawks game since a group of customers previously requested to watch a college basketball game. That’s fine, but judging how they had more than four TVs. I am not quite sure why they couldn’t put the game on one of their TVs. The crowd was obnoxious and loud. I get it’s a bar, but when you have people falling out of their seats and hitting on your date that’s a bit extreme. I find it naïve to even call this place a Blackhawks bar when they don’t even play the game for you live.

FYI, no food here BUT they get food from Emmit’s across the street! Yes they have an Emmit’s menu, the staff will take your order, and voila… it’s delivered to your table at Clover — and added to your bill. Or I think you can bring your own food or order delivery. We came here on Sunday to watch football. The bartender-waitress was was very nice and accommodating at first. We had a table and she came to the table taking our orders and delivering them but as the hours went by we had to keep going to the bar to get anything. This is a pub but it’s not all ratty and run-down like most I’ve seen. They have nice TV“s and furnishings(including the bar) that doesn’t look deteriorated. The bathrooms are nice too and you get your own«fortress of solitude».

The owner Rob left one of my favorite drinking neighborhood joints(River Shannon with the Rush and Division Group) to open this place with a partner. They certainly do a great job of making the customer feel at home. Too bad it’s sorta distance from my place. Else I’d be there all the time!

Clover Sports & Leisure is an old-fashioned drinking joint, taking a page from the days when it wasn’t frowned upon to have a smoke and a drink, and when sports icons played for the love of the game, not for fame or money. Located in the definitive six-corner intersection that is also home to Chicago institutions as La Scarola, Richard’s Bar and Emmit’s Irish Pub, near Grand and Halsted, Clover Sports & Leisure will be in good company. The concept is simple, and it was formed by two veterans in the bar business who became drinking buddies upon meeting at The Lodge Tavern in Chicago years ago. Dana Ronk, who has over 20 years in the business managing establishments, most recently Mahoney’s Pub & Grille, along with Rob Dalton, with over 14 years behind the bar, up till now managing River Shannon, know what it takes to make patrons feel welcome in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Ronk and Dalton have created a warm and inviting tavern, referencing a time of the good-old-days with a focus on the leisure of life, encouraging customers to relax-well in their aptly named Clover Sports & Leisure. They credit The Lodge Tavern’s Jimmy Borchers with schooling them on how to be ‘proper barkeeps’. Clover Sports & Leisure featrures lots of flat-screen, plasma televisions nestled in and around the large oak bar with plenty of barstools and some comfy cushioned chairs. Every seat is a great seat to kick back, relax, and take in a televised sporting event while enjoying a preferred adult beverage. Clover Sports & Leisure offers over forty beers, seven on tap, and a full bar of premium liquors, including a nice variety of scotches and whiskeys, as any respectable watering hole would. While imbibing, patrons may feel the urge to snack, and for that reason Clover Sports & Leisure will offer hot pizzas and fresh popcorn, as it is all about simplicity and going back to a time when less meant more.

La Scarola’s one of my favorite restaurants and since I’m not extremely fond of the second hand smoke one’s subjected to at Richards, Clover is usually where I go to drink my dessert. It’s a chill spot spot that you just can’t help but like. Nothing outrageously noteworthy about it, but the staff is always friendly, the prices are fair and they’ve got a MyTouchTunes jukebox. I’ve never seen it extremely packed which is what I love about it. Great place for post dinner date drinks. If the name has anything to do with it you might even get lucky…
