I’m a former Promoter from Krush into Koncrete. For a Live Vibe for up to 7 Hours of Partying, Koncrete is where you should be.

So, I’ve read someone’s post before mine and I truly agree with what she said. My sister was having a bday party here(my 20 year old sister and 24 year old sister at the same time). So, the party promoter made the arrangements with my 20 yr old sister knowing that she wasn’t 21 and that she would have to be 21 to get in. Well, we get there and my youngest sister couldn’t get in to her OWNPARTY. really!?? Shame on the promoter. But, anyway-if you like clubs that are comprised of mostly 21 – 32 year olds, this is fine for you. The music was good but after a certain part of the night, the DJ continued to be repetitive in doing shoutouts, playing the same songs over and over, and just overall messiness. My friend and I had to pay a $ 10 cover charge which I feel was over the top because the club was NOT what I expected. In order to keep our VIP section or lack thereof, we had to pay for a bottle which ranged from $ 130 or more and the bottles were pints that you could get in a store for no more than $ 50. So, this was absolutely ridiculous. Then, the VIP section was comprised of a couch in the middle of the dance floor where people would just look at you crazy the whole night or come dance on you because you’re sitting there and to them you appear bored or looking for attention because you’re forced to stare at the wall of folks standing up either in discomfort or boredom after the same song has played for the 13th time lol. But, they did have vallet parking which was a waste of $ 20 because for one… they opened up a gate we pulled right up to to park our car in and I feel we could have easily done this for $ 5 bucks. Also, to RSVP for this club, I was told by the party planner or promoter that we must dress for sexiness, no flip flops, dress sexy, and all of this. When girls were in there looking a hot azz mess… foreal. and it made me mad because I spent a lot of time getting my wardrobe together for an event that was literally subpar. Because this was the first time my bestfriend and I went to the club together, I figured the experience was nice. But, after all is said and done this place isn’t worthy of a second look… location is in the middle of factory and a newly industrialized area… and it sticks out like a sore thumb or maybe it doesn’t even stick out because we wouldn’t have found it if the big bouncer wasn’t standing outside. haha. well, to each its own.

Formally Krush, this location has now become another, new«upscale» nightclub. Invited by a friend for«Fashion Fridays» my best friend and I made the trip over. The location is in a very empty strip of factory area. The only other open business being a gas station. Entry– Our flyer said the doors opened at 10pm. We got there at 10:30 and stood in line until about 11:15 before they opened the doors. We happened to be the first people in line but were not the first people to go inside as a group of ladies who had been there for the past couple of Fridays were ushered in before everyone, including other people who were on VIP/Party lists who had to stand in line with everybody else. The security is tight. They did have a shooting at the former club so I know they’re probably trying to prevent that from reoccurring. They disallow 2nd pairs of shoes, which is the first time I’ve come across this. They make you take them to the car if you drove, and get back in line OR you can leave them in a cardboard box at your own risk which was half full when I left at the end of the night. Great choices, right? They make everyone get on a guest list which was not in any type of order. They took about a minute to find my name and the woman in front of me found her own name before they did. Inside– The place is midsized and looks good. There is no seating for anyone but people who pay for VIP/Party bottle service so the whole change of shoes thing is a kicker. I didn’t get anything at the bar but my friends did and their stuff was okay. The place did get pretty full as the night went on so there was a lot of moving out of the way and getting bumped into. The music is ALL Rap, R&B and Hip Hop and became repetitive. I heard all the songs at least twice if not more(one a mere 4 times). The crowd is 21 – 30; no diversity. They seem to be booking a lot of VIP guests like Athletes, TV Stars, etc., so the majority of the crowd is dressed like there will be cameras everywhere and they’ll get their 15 mins of fame while others were dressed like they just got out of the laundromat(complete with sock and sandals) so I have no clue what the actual dress code is. Generally, lots of very drunk and/or high people doing stuff like smoking cigarettes in the bathroom(ugh) and dancing like crazy. So in all, if this is your scene, you’ll have fun. I wasn’t really in the mood after standing in line for 45 mins in heels, having to put away my flats because I wasn’t leaving my Maddens in a box then having to fight them to get my flats when my best friend, who just wasn’t feeling it, was leaving and taking my heels with her. If I do(and a BIG if) go back, I’ll definitely lower my expectations and do some things differently. I’ll keep you posted.
