CoChic Styling

I met Alyssa at a networking event. I have always struggled with what tie to wear with what shirt and what suit. Now that I’ve bought some new clothes, just staying safe was no longer fun. So, I asked her, and she said that she would be very happy to help me match my clothes.
Well, I can say that she can’t be any happier than I am. We took my suits, sport coats and slacks and laid them out one at a time on the floor (where we had lots of room.) The ties started out laid out on the bed. She proceeded to take my shirts out one at a time, lay them on the suit/​sport coat, and then she selected the ties that worked with the combination and folded them up placing them on the shirts. Within a couple of hours she had my entire wardrobe matched with variations from subtle to bold.
She took pictures of each of the groupings, and the next day emailed me a 28 page document with the pictures and a description of what worked and what variations I might use.
I know that this sounds funny, but before I go to bed, I look at the document, and decide what suit, shirt and tie I’m going to wear tomorrow, pull it out of my closet, and hang it on the door knob. In the morning, there is no agony about whether I’m going to look funny, I know that I’m looking sharp, and ready for my first meeting of the day.
She’s got a lot of style, and she has put me on a new stylish path. She can do the same for you. Thanks, Alyssa. I appreciate it.

I recently worked with Alyssa on a styled shoot. She was very helpful and knowledgeable with styling the models and making sure they were looking their best throughout the day. On a personal level, Alyssa is an inspiration. She is a hard working entrepreneur and inspires other women with her «co-​chic cool chic» blog features. I just did a closet clean out with Alyssa and it was seriously life changing! Alyssa was the ultimate professional. She showed up ready to tackle my 3 insanely large and insanely overcrowded closets, and we got straight down to business. She had mentioned to me before that this service is a minimum of four hours, which initially surprised me– but when we wrapped up my own closets, SIX hours later, I hugged her tight and praised her god given talent!
Alyssa tackles this process in a very non-​threatening way. One item at a time, she goes through your closets to determine: keep, toss, donate, or sell. I will admit, I was pretty open to the idea, so there were (I would guess) only 5 or so items I actually fought her on giving up. She was never once pushy, or judgmental about any of my clothes. On the items where she would say «Donate» and I would plead «But wait, I like that!» she immediately offered up two ideas: 1) «Try it on for me, please» and 2) «When was the last time you wore this?» Seems simple enough, but I’d say on all but one item we debated, after doing one of those two things, I was willing to toss it into the donate pile.
I’ve been in the same apartment for 5 years, the same job for 7, and I hadn’t even realized how my closets mirrored my life in that regard. I had shoes, clothes, interview outfits, coats, jackets, you name it, which were not only out of date, but they were in horrible shape. I now have two closets, completely cleaned out, and styled for the seasons.
Cannot recommend her enough! She did an amazing job with this, and she has also helped me style outfits in the past– so any of her services would be something I would recommend to friends and family without a second thought.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Alyssa on a photo shoot! We were looking for somebody to style the models and she was PERFECT! She completely understood our vision, and took control. She even helped us find models! The day of the shoot, she showed up early with a clothing rack full of beautiful gowns and suits that she had worked hard to source. She steamed everything and dressed all of the models, and they all looked AMAZING!!! She stayed the entire day to ensure that everybody looked perfect, and stepped in whenever needed to pin, adjust and alter throughout the day! I could not possibly recommend her services more highly, and can not wait for the opportunity to work with her again!

Alyssa helped me clean out my closet and also helped my style a few pieces that I have purchased but never wore because I couldn’t figure out how to wear them. She provided such a fresh perspective that got me really excited to wear them again. Also, she was honest about pieces that no longer suited me, she admired my love for items that I’ve had since college but was also honest that they were 2 stitches away from falling apart (very true). She was dead on about everything and gave me the guts to part ways with things that just did not look right on me. If you have a full closet with «nothing to wear», I would call Alyssa!
