The laundry services in our building used to be provided by Mac-Gray, which was bought out by Coinmach’s parent company in January 2014, so ever since then, Coinmach has been responsible for the repair and maintenance of our washers and dryers. About a week ago, I discovered that both our washers(we only have two, serving two buildings) were out of order at the same time. I called to report the issue and was told that a repair technician would be sent out within 24 hours. The next day, still out of order. I called again and was told that the 24-hour prediction was incorrect and that the company’s contract required only that a repair technician be sent out within two to three business days. I was also told that the problem had first been reported the previous Friday, and that the repair request would be expedited. It’s now the following Monday. It’s been 11 days since the problem was first reported; no technician has set foot on site. The representative I talked to today got flustered when I complained and said, «Chicago is a big city!» Oh, so what you’re saying is, your company has chosen not to hire enough repair technicians to meet all the obligations it’s committed itself to? Sorry, that’s not good enough.

The recent cost increase is confusing. At least when it was $ 1.75 I could quickly add up the amount to wash/dry one load, two loads, etc. Now at $ 1.85 not so much. And it seems that it won’t accept the card in the machines if there’s a little left on it. When I tried to use it yesterday, it kept flashing $ 1.90. Well, that’s fine, bc the cost is $ 1.85?! With this in mind, I had to leave the building twice in 10 degree weather as the vending machine is in the next building. Couldn’t use my $ 10 initially; cannot risk putting that much in the machine. And the saga continues…

I work at a apartment community and this company just bought out Laundry land. I am not happy with the new company. Landry Land Jim and Bob were so nice. We had to order cards since they bought them out. We ordered them on 7÷11÷2014 the order wasn’t shipped or processed until the 7⁄18. It is now 7⁄31 and still now cards. I called today to see when we will get them for our new residents and they transferred me to the corporate location. When I got ahold of someone they transferred me again to another person. When she picked up the phone she just said hello. Didn’t say here name or anything. She said she would have someone drop off card or mail them over night. So far not happy with the new company. Landry Land was very customer service orientated. This new company is not. The send out the refunds. The don’t stop by and hand them to you like they use to.

You are rolling the dice when it come to your card working in the machine, be prepared to spend your money on some EL02 or EC02. I have gotten these error messages at least 15 times in the last five years.

Stay away from Coinmach! They are the tow truck drivers of laundry. Tenants and Landlords BEWARE! I do not think that I have run into more unprofessional customer service in my life. They are rude, unhelpful, and try to scare and bully tenants and landlords.
