Cookies by Design

Just received a lovely get well soon cookie bouquet following a surgery from my coworkers. It was super cute. It tasted toxic. There is something very wrong with these cookies. I would not recommend these to anyone.

I placed this order from California for a good friend in Chicago who is newly engaged. The display was absolutely stunning and arrived in perfect condition. They also called me to notify me that the order had been delivered to the front door. I really appreciated the follow up given I couldn’t pick I up myself. Thanks again!

Recently order for a friend and loved that I got a phone call confirmation for when they had been delivered and who signed for it. Excellent customer service.

Next day delivery is really a myth. They sent me the wrong order and agreed to a meager 15% discount or wait another day. I was on a deadline so neither option was acceptable. Their delivery timetable was between 9 and 5, so I had to waste the whole day waiting when order showed up after 2. And you know what, the cookies were very expensive and not that fabulous. About ten dollars a cookie.

I work right by this place. I fell in love the first time i went there and that’s why I’m rating it two stars and not one. The second time going there the cookies were also fresh and very good.
The third time not so good. I bought the chocolate chip cookies each and every time. They had a deal buy 5 for 5 dollars and I thought that was a great deal. Since they are normally $ 1.40 each. They were stale and the cookies just didn’t taste the same.
I decided to go in again hoping that maybe it was just a one time fluke. This time I asked if the cookies were fresh because i had a not so good experience the last time i went there. The lady told me yes they were fresh and baked that same morning. I bit into the cookie and right away I knew they weren’t fresh. The cookies did not taste good. Like different ingredients were used.
Believe it or not I went in again two weeks later like a dummy. Yes you read right! I asked again if they were fresh. I was told yes again and that they were baked that morning. I decided to buy 5 again and of course they were stale and tasted bad. They tasted like the cookies i bake at home. No wait… I think my cookies taste a lot better. I really think they are using different ingredients. I really wish they would taste like the very first time I went there.
The ladies that work there will always say they are baked that same morning. I had a different lady each time and received the same answer. I think they are trained to say that. I don’t think they get rid of their old cookies and instead they sell them 5 for $ 5.00 to get rid of them.
Needless to say… I will not be going there again. Subway is close by and they taste way better. Even when the cookies are stale they still taste good. So what does that say about Cookies by Design?

Had a great experience with them. I ordered a surprise cookie bouquet for my husband’s bday. He decided that he was going to stay home from work that day so I had to make a quick address change. I communicated with them via email, heard back right away and the change was succesffuly made. Thanks CBD! Oh! and the cookies were giant and delicious! Yum!

Cool concept. The cookies look good, but don’t taste all that great.

They make awesome cookie bouquets and displays here. perfect party favors! They are really accomodating and always work with you to get things just how you want them!
