Daufenbach Camera

We rented equipment from Daufenbach camera for a short film we shot and they went above and beyond expectations. They upgraded the camera body and shipped everything to Texas without incident (and efficiently). The prices were reasonable (even with the shipping) and the knowledge of the staff is top notch. They’re great at advising on what the best camera is for the job you’re doing. I wish I produced more stuff in Chicago just to take advantage of a rental house like this.

Daufenbach is a young camera rental house by a technical standard, however, their professionalism and comprehensive equipment belie their actual time in the market.
They’ve always gone the extra mile to ensure their customers are taken care of, and have an incredibly competetive pricing structure. They were built as a Red camera house, but have Alexa’s and other lower model professional digital cameras to choose from.
They also have the luxury of being one of the only, if not the only midwest rental house that can support 3D production. I am a local 600 cinematographer and I have worked heavily in 3D production so most of my interaction with Daufenbach has been on this front. They are incredibly well versed and stocked for stereo 3D production, and when the production needed to be technically supported they were efficient and thorough with their response. I can’t say enough how valuable that is when working on a production as every second is a valuable commodity on set.
