Dr. Edelberg is a fantastic physician and the staff is very friendly. It’s a busy office so plan accordingly. This Dr. has been able to ‘put the puzzle pieces together’ regarding my health and well– being and I am very thankful. I’ve been a patient for a couple of years and I haven’t had any issues with charges on my card, but as a health care professional myself, I understand the importance of not missing appointments and being organized when I am at my appointments.

Dr. Edelberg is a fantastic phyisician. I am a local Gastroenterologist and do the SAMEASDR. EDELBERG. Patients are disrespectful and they«no show» when those who are in pain and need us can’t get in. Gina and Paula, welcome to 2015. This is what physicians need to do to ensure cooperation and appropriateness. Not a single patient I’ve seen of Dr. Edelberg’s has had issue with his care. If you don’t like the policy, don’t rate his care as 2 stars because of it. Just go elsewhere. None of you appreciate the fact that the doctor is emailing you AFTERHOURS or spends hours worrying about you while reviewing the results. He is excellent, thorough, thoughtful and smart. He will also be there when you need him!

Okay, the Doctor would normally get 5 stars as he is an awesome doctor. I saw him for years but I am stubborn and was charged $ 25, without my knowledge, for emailing with the doctor. This was many years ago. Now, had I known I would be charged $ 25, I would have gone to see him for my $ 20 co-pay, right? I was shocked to see the charge and tried to get a refund as I was not made aware of this fee. They refused(told me there was a note at the bottom of the email but there was not). I stopped going. I decided to go see him again as he does different testing from conventional doctors. Receptionist asked me for credit card. I explained my discomfort with this due to what happened in the past and so no appointment for me. Is it normal for a practice to need a credit card to book an appointment? I’ve never had to do this. I TOTALLY get being charged if you do not show up, but send a bill. You’d have to pay up before you visited again, etc. I was also told that by giving my credit card, over the phone, I am consenting to be charged for anything $ 25 and under without them letting me know. I just don’t think this seems legit but maybe I am wrong?

I cannot recommend Dr. Edelberg nor the practice based on several points. First, the practice requires a credit card to be given in order to have the appointment. I understand the issues with missed appointments but they charged my card a year after my appointment without sending me the bill. Apparently this is not uncommon with this practice. Now the doctor. Yes, he’s thorough, but I believe his«fame» has gotten to his head. All his diagnoses are standard, but he just«happens» to sell the service you need — chiro, nutritionists, over-priced supplements.. . What really did it was he sent out a newsletter touting how big pharma is influencing physicians, however, a quick search of Dollars-for-docs shows he took in 20k+ from Forest pharma in 2012 in speaking fees, meals, and travel. That did it: Pot, meet kettle.
