I love DeMaira Dance Studio in Chicago. My daughter and I have been taking classes there since they opened. I think the price is very reasonable, and the staff/​teachers are so nice. I love the size of the studio (small) because my child gets the attention among the 12 – 15 kids per class. The other kids also seem so happy to go there.
I took hip hop with Kathy (great fun and good workout), later took Latin Jazz with Miguel then Jesus (amazing talented teachers), now they offer stretching/​flexibility and Zumba class for me so I can stay in shape :)
I am so glad they are in my neighborhood!

I’ve been taking classes at DeMaira since they opened the Chicago location two years ago. I’ve tried several of the teen/​adult classes — ballet, tap, hip-​hop and am currently taking the burlesque class, which I love. I even had the chance to perform in a couple of their shows (ballet, not burlesque!) Although it seemed odd to invite my friends to my «recital,» it was fun to perform on stage.
The school has a fun atmosphere, the teachers are all passionate about dancing and teach the correct form, technique, etc. but also make sure to keep it fun.
Would definitely recommend the studio to anyone looking to get back into dancing as well as those just starting out. I highly recommend the burlesque class that Red Hot Annie teaches. I always walk out of that class with a ton of confidence!
