Dino’s Pizzeria

Great neighborhood place. Pasta’s are old school and pizza is delicious. They also deliver and we order from them often. The owners are very generous and always donate to our school events:) The staff and warm and friendly.

Food excellent. Service atrocious. Called to let manager know about bartender. Manager seemed professional and asked me to come back. When I returned to give it another chance, the angry bartender told me that she likes to joke around and have fun, that she had been working there a long time and that she didn’t appreciate me starting any trouble for her. She then proceeded to bully me and badmouth me to her regular customers who told me that she was telling them that I am crazy.
I guess I’m so crazy for expecting good customer service… good service that doesn’t include wait 25 minutes to get served a drink and instead of taking my order, I get a bag of Aldi brand cheetos slapped down on the counter in front of me… instead of asking to take my food order yeah… I guess I’m so crazy and unreasonable…

I don’t think I can capture the experience my family and I had with the Dino’s staff for a birthday party we celebrated in their private party room but I’ll try! We had been looking for a place to hold this party for a few weeks when I found this gem. My husband and I liked the cozy clean feel of the place that comfortably seated our 50 guests. The food was absolutely delicious and was presented in a very appetizing manner as well! The servers were super friendly and served everyone their drinks with a smile. Our only regret is not going to Dino’s sooner! We were recently back for pizza night – yumm!!!- and were welcomed back by Bianca, Lupe, and Melissa with a warm smile, friendly conversation, and great service! I recommend Dino’s to anyone and everyone for the food, the service, and because it’s amazing!

I order from Dinos religiously when I am working at resurrection hospital. They go above and beyond to get their customers anything that they need. I always ask for alternatives in my meals and they have no problem adjusting ingredients. I know what a pain that is to do that and they never make me feel bad for any of my requests. Corine, Bobby and Benny are all wonderful employees with great customer service and should be recognized for always going above and beyond.

This place is great one of those places that brings you back to when life was simpler just old fashion good people the pizza was really good as well as the mostaccioli and the services was top notch i would defiantly recomend this place and i will be back.

I am a big fan of their thin crust pizza (sausage and green pepper). Dino’s is in my top 5 favorite pizzas in the city. Really good lasagna as well. The pizza sauce is sometimes inconsistent which is sometimes a letdown, but really good more times than not. We typically do not order anything else and prefer to order it as carryout.

I heard that yesterday on the 8^th of Oct they were closed with a big green sign saying there license is suspended and I head it’s because they weren’t cleaning there dishes right and some other stuff I ain’t going there and there food wasn’t so great the past year I see why now!

Best pizza! Love it there! Friendly servers and lots of other great stuff on the menu too. Try the BLT pizza or the cheesy beef sandwich.

My family just attended a Christening party here.
I actually was embarrassed for the hosts.
The service was bad. The waitress seemed so crabby and unfriendly.
When it came to the the food they only brought so much out. This was a buffet. I think if you feeding 50 there should be enough to go around for 50. Only about ¾ of the guest got appetizers. They finally came out with two tiny dishes.
The pizza went the same way.
Would not recommend for parties.

Love their BLT pizza. Other Italian favorites are always good. Lasagna was awesome it’s a neighborhood joint and certainly not a stuffy formal place.

Inconsistent! I just moved into the neighborhood and have gotten pizza here about 5 times. Sometimes it is good and sometimes it sucks. I hate that it is inconsistent! Just make the pizza good! I hate when 2 inches of cheese melts into the middle of the pizza and the outside is all thin. Last time I got garlic bread here it was hard as a rock. I don’t think I’ll be coming back anymore. Dominos is better than this place.

I’ve been eating at Dino’s for a while now and the thin crust pizza is the best I’ve had. Always up for Dino’s.

First time we came here was a couple of years ago in the dead of winter and everything was top notch. We decided to revisit yesterday to try the pizza. We’re having a great time sitting on the nice patio. Menu mentions to ask the server about the «extensive» beer selection. Server seemed annoyed I asked. Hubby mentions to our waitress that he saw a specials sign that said PBR tallboys were $ 2.50. She confirms that they have PBR and so he orders one. We proceed to eat the yummy pizza and drink two more. Bill comes and three PBRs are calculated at $ 12 and not $ 7.50. The waitress’ response to that was that the bar is separate and they have to charge a different price because we are sitting outside. WTF? Never heard of such a thing. I can go to The Garage Bar nearby and sit on the rooftop patio and drink off their extensive beer menu inside and out for the SAME price. Imagine that.

I’m really regretting purchasing delivery from Dino’s tonight. I ordered at 7:00, and at 8:00 I get a call from the delivery driver, saying he can’t read my address on the receipt. I tell him my address. About 10 minutes later the driver calls again saying he’s at the front door. I go downstairs, and he’s neither at the front or back door. I call back to verify he has the correct address. He doesn’t… Apparently he had 5400 on the receipt instead of 6400. Not his fault since the lady answering phones wrote it down incorrectly. 10 minutes later he calls to say he’s at the front door, but I was standing there, and he wasn’t there. He was parking.
So when he does show up he was nice and apologized for the inconvenience. He gave me a warm bottle of RC. I was nice and gave him a tip even though I was pretty annoyed.
Here is a review of the food I ordered:
Buffalo chicken sandwich–
I didn’t think it was very good. It was about a foot long, so it would have been nice to have it cut in half. The chicken was pretty tough. The condiments (lettuce, tomato, and pickles) are wrapped separately from the sandwich. I understand why you did this, but you have to then peel the soggy bread away from the chicken to put on the condiments.
Onion rings–
These tasted okay. The mystery sauce that came with them wasn’t good. Ranch would have been better. The sauce container had opened during delivery, and it spilled onto the plate and onion rings.
Jalapeño poppers–
These tasted good and came with ranch dressing.
As a recommendation for the restaurant, you should consider adding a system where customers can provide their phone number when ordering, and you then have our address on file, so we don’t have to provide it each time. That would have prevented this mess. I was pretty unhappy to receive food that wasn’t hot after waiting an hour and a half for it. I don’t really plan to order again because I remember not having a good experience the previous time I ordered either.

Love this place! I used to live down the street from this restaurant and would order their pizza and wings for delivery. They have some of the best pizza especially for the far northwest side of Chicago. Even though I not currently in the neighborhood anymore I still make the 35 – 40 min drive just for their pizza!

Awesome thin crust pizza in an unassuming environment with great service. Our server today (male, young) was quick, polite, thoughtful and good at anticipating. I’ve been here many times for pizza and I do think they have one of the best thin crust pizzas around. Piping hot, too.

I absolutely love this place. From the neighborhood charm to the amazing thin crust pizza, Dino’s is a throwback type of joint. Great carryout and reasonably priced too. I try to make it here at every couple months or whenever I’m in the mood for terrific pizza.

OK, I like the neighborhood appeal, the homey interior, but if you place a carryout order for more than say, four or five people, double check your order. Large numbers seem to throw the staff. I’ve had items omitted or erroneously included on two previous occasions, but tonight is a polar vortex evening and I refuse to hike back over to the restaurant because they forgot to include my order… and I’m still waiting for their guy to deliver it.
So, words of caution: double check your order. Be patient if you’re waiting for their delivery guy. Have your friends/​family order enough to feed you until your order arrives.
After dinner update: the Italian beef: very dry. Plentiful but very dry. My dog was thrilled though… Buffalo chicken sandwich: huge but amazingly chewy. Cheesy beef was OK since the cheese helped offset the papery dry beef. Oh yeah, still waiting for my soup. So I took down one star.

Believe it or not, they have some of the best fried chicken you will ever taste. It is fresh chicken, that is breaded right before it is fried, and not overly spiced like some of the chain chicken places.
We have used them for catered chicken and have never been disappointed. It works out to be about a buck a piece, which is a fair price, although their product is superior.
Give the neighborhood guy a try for your next catered party.

Have nor been at Dino’s for quite some time after a few bad beef experiences (read previous post)
So on a whim we stopped in and got a few beefs to go and there just like the original big bomber’s .
