It’s a very difficult to trust contractors based on 2 things either shady work or extremely too high prices, but Jonathan is neither of those. He is meticulous in his work and takes time and not rush to get to the next job and his prices are fair. The transformation of my basic looking fireplace to this grand scale piece of art is amazing. Called Jonathan out for a Backsplash quote after seeing great reviews on Unilocal.He returned our call promptly and helped us determine how much tile and grout we should pick up. Got us on the schedule then did our Backsplash in a day and a half for a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend him. He is a perfectionist and left everything very neat.

Jonathan did an excellent job on my fireplace tile surround. He was out on three different days to complete the work and was on time and each and every time including when he came out to do the estimate. He is very meticulous in his work including his clean up at the end of each work day. He has a lot of experience laying tile and it definitely shows in his work and preparations. The finished product looks fantastic. Nowadays it is hard to find trades people who still take pride in their work and don’t rush through a job just to get it done, I am happy to have found Jonathan. Jonathan did an amazing job with our shower and we couldn’t be happier with the final product! He has a tremendous work ethic and was VERY punctual (something that is often difficult to find in the trades). He is extremely easy to work with, and as an added bonus, he is a wonderful person :)

I cannot say enough good things about Jonathan and Distinctive Designs Tile! He put a subway tile backsplash up in our kitchen and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome! We’re still in awe of how great it looks! In fact, looking at it very closely after he left, we even said «If you were to point out anything wrong with his work what could you possibly say?» He is extremely skilled and does not cut corners AT ALL. Our job was not your typical, simple backsplash as we had 3 walls in need of tile, one of which has 3 windows on it. Since it is an old building, time has left uneven thin gaps between the window sills and the counter top– when Jonathan came over to give us a quote we told him not to worry about those areas, that we would just paint them white to blend in the the window sills. Well, Jonathan took his care and skill to the tile saw and cute perfect, thin pieces of tile to fit there! We are still so impressed with his work and his work ethic. Besides that, he is an extremely easy going and cool guy.

Jon from Distinctive Designs installed ceramic tile in my bathroom and I could not have been more pleased with the results. Floor, walls with a decorative border/​trim, and shower surround complete with ceramic shelves, soap dish and towel bar completed the room. He also installed a ceramic tile backsplash in my kitchen and was very helpful in choosing colors and patterns that complimented my décor. Jon is professional, punctual, courteous and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend his work to friends and family.
