Come here if you are starving because the sandwhiches are huge here Very filling and overwhelming since there are many choices and meat combos I usually order La Memo Ochoa or mega cubana My only issue wit this place is that they do not accept credit cards. Its 2016! Not a big deal theres a walgreens down the street i guess.

Worst service ever. I walked in at nine o’clock because the«Open» sign was on and as we sat down the waitress asked us to get up and order to go, I did because the food is good but the 20 minutes we waited on our food 4 other people still walked in and were told the same and the open sign still on.

Finishing a Torta at this place is akin to a one-night-stand. You had a great time, you’re a little ashamed, and you definitely need a shower. For my non-Torta-eating friends, a Torta is the Mexican take on a sandwich. Meat, cheese, toppings, all sandwiched between grilled bread. You can order one at your local Mexican burrito place and it will probably be pretty tasty. Order one at this particular restaurant and it will blow your freaking mind. First, the Tortas here are Torta-zilla in scale. Massive. Think a large loaf of bread sliced in half. While the size will immediately wow you, it’s nothing compared to the mind-blow you’ll experience when you bite in. Do you like Mexican flavors? Imagine a buttered loaf of fresh bread, stuffed with pork shoulder, Carne Asada, grilled chicken, Chorizo, mango salsa, pineapple, or combinations of your favorite Mexican meats and flavors. Load it with gooey melted cheese, and then grill that bad-boy to crusty-bread perfection. It’s Mexican flavor perfection on a roll. The sandwiches are soccer themed, named after famous players. The décor can only be described as no-frills rustic Mexican sandwich shop. Mexican soap operas blare on the TVs. Customers are local teenagers and blue collar workers that just got off shift. The servers all speak Spanish. In other words, amazing. Go get one, wash it down with a Mexican Coke, and relish in the fact that you went here before it was cool.

This is not your typical torta place. They have about 50 different tortas and they are huge. You can probably share one with a friend. There are so many ingredients that they can put on the tortas such as eggs, hotdogs, milanesa, cheese, ham, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, pine apple, etc. The girls at the counter are very nice. The only two negatives about this place… they only take cash and worse, they don’t have a landline telephone. Dona Torta does business on a flip phone cell phone. So, if you phone in a order you get a very bad connection, the calls drop or they don’t to the phone in time and you get voicemail. But I still gave them 4 stars because the food is great. It’s just a pain to phone in an order.

Tortas are the best! Huge, toasted, and overflowing with meat and awesome ingreidants. So full of flavor and packed to fill you evertime! Well worth your money. Horchata is good as well, and customer service is everthing you’d expect.

These tortas are beast! So much going on in a torta, its well worth your money. This place never dissapoints with portions or flavor, every bite of your torta will pack a punch. Its a shame they only accept cash, nbut plenty of good going on here at this location! #2

So far so good. Pros: Great value Tortas are huge Cons: Cash only Tortas come in only one size: huge My first time here, should have visited sooner. It’s a good stop for tacos & tortas. The place has enough elbow room, the staff is polite, and the tacos are &1.75. Yes please. Looking for a light snack, get some tacos because everything else is super value size. However I had no complaints about the tortillas or the meats. I will come back to try more treats and possibly add another star. Tacos(lomo, cecina): Very good for such a low price Tacos(carne asada): Somehow not as good as others

Come here if you are hungryyyyy! Portions size are BIG! Place is clean and bright. Everything we had was pretty good. I had the La Memo Ochoa and thought all those ingredients mixed together would be weird, but it worked. Only thing is, I can do without the hot dogs. Horchata was nice and tasty. Waitresses didn’t really check on us though. I had to go up to ask for water and to get the bill. They were friendly and nice though, just not very attentive. Will definitely be back to check out other items on the menu.

The food here is awesome. Nothing fancy, just real down to earth Mexican TORTAS. The real nitty gritty. Meat, cheese, sour cream and avocado topped with more meat, cheese, sour cream and avocado. Definitely the thing you crave after a late night. Recommended.

Huge tortas! I had been stalking this restaurant to open like a lion stalks his prey, for I knew that once they opened there would be a cornivore’s feast. I had been to their Cermak location a couple of times and was always pleased with their food. Can you belive that 2 days passed by without me noticing that they had opened. But by the third day I was there ready to try some of their food and of course compare it with the other location and other restaurants around this hood. Tortas Mexico city style, so they say. Huge selection that is for sure. I have been there twice this week and tried a few of their items. First time I was there with a friend and got 2 tortas to share. Memo Ochoa comes with about 7 meats and cheese and pineapple, very good indeed. I also tried the ahogada. Seasoned shredded pork torta smothered in a sweet-spicy sauce that is soo good, I came back and ordered it again. Also tried the Mexican burger with ham and pineapple, solid good. Regular drink menu and great service. DTC, great tortas
