good prices for the quality of the clothes. if you’re looking for gucci prada or chanel type of couture then of course this wouldn’t be the place for you. But for its location, where there are many students on a budget that still want to dress fashionable, this is a great place to go. Granted, it’s no forever21 or wet seal, but it is pretty similar. Not to mention, the sales associate are awesome. They make the shopping experience personable and make you want to come back. I’ve picked up a few great wardrobe pieces over time.

I used to shop at Dots in the Countryside area in the ‘burbs of Chicago many, many moons ago. I loved it then — and can see that it has gotten even better over time. While you probably won’t find the absolute best quality construction, you WILL find some fashionable items, many of which may last well over time, if cared for gently. In other words, refrain from using a dryer — wash on delicate, etc. That’s how I make my clothes last. Today I found a really nice pea-coat style long jacket(that covers one’s behind) — lightweight, with leatherette trim, a leatherette belt, buttons and zipper on the side. It really looks great on — and it was under $ 40! And they gave me a coupon for $ 10 off for a future $ 30 purchase over the holiday! It was just what I wanted, to replace a dumpy, fluffy, long black jacket I’d been wearing around that just made me depressed every time I wore it. The staff in this store is great — very helpful, courteous and pleasant. I generally stop in this store when I’m visiting the Dollar Tree right next to it. There are other stores in this little strip mall that are convenient — such as a Payless Shoes, Pay Half clothing store, and nearby Jewel across the street. These stores are generally quick in and out — which makes it a no-hassle shopping experience. You can stop for lunch at the Italian place right there, too. And they are all right off the Red Line and No. 36 Broadway bus at the Berwyn stop. If you’re driving, there is a large free parking lot.

I wrote a review on a DOTS store on Western Ave & it was«filtered».Not sure why :(I’m here to help others. THIS dots in Edgewater on Broadway, has the same items/prices as the one on Western. BUT the customer service is MUCHBETTER! Also, it’s a much cleaner store too. Wish I could remember the 2 women that helped me. I know one was the manager because I asked to speak to a manager to tell her how much of a BETTER experience I had at this store. If your looking for inexpensive, cute clothes, w/good customer service… Shop at the Dots in Edgewater on Broadway

This little Dots is full of surprisingly fashionable, cheap clothing and accessories. Everything was extremely well organized and the sales staff seemed friendly. There were lots of bright colors, shoes, accessories and even a plus size rounder and a few sales racks mixed in. The quality didn’t seem the greatest, in line with Forever 21 although slightly less expensive. Their dressing rooms were a bit off putting in terms of size and smell… some sort of strange odor… ah well, I guess the big free parking lot and next door to the Dollar Tree location make up for it.
