Thank you Mother Nature for cooperating during draft town weekend! Im not a die hard football fan, but I am a diehard Chicago fan and was proud to see our beautiful city highlighted in such a positive way! I went out to the event on Saturday and when I walked up to the entrance I was excited and very impressed by how organized and huge this event was at Grant Park. You could go to watch the draft live, take a pic with the rings, get signed autographs/pics with the players, purchase food, and all of this could be done for the admittance price of $ 0.00! Yes this was a free event. I had such a good time and who could not enjoy the Chicago skyline as the backdrop. I know New York normally hosts, but I think Chicago was able to prove we are tough competition. Hope to see this event here again in the future. #chitown represent

Great concept, however as Draft Town is in it’s 1st year there are several things that can be fixed. Number one, there are not enough food vendors. The price of the food was about what one would expect, but to wait 20 – 30 minutes in a line for Billy Goat cheeseburgers is excessive. We opted for the Wow Bao Asian buns. Almost immediate service as everyone else was afraid of the Lettuce Entertain You food. Asian buns score a 3 out of 5. Some were lukewarm, some were hot. Number two, the beer lines were as bad as I have seen. I have no idea what the wait time was, but with three bartenders and hundreds of patrons, this was a no-go for me. We opted to leave and go home for the draft. Number three, I walked by a line of several hundred people, it was like an impermeable wall. They were waiting to spend their money in a gift shop stationed inside a trailer. I was embarrassed for them. If your kid is competing or part of the«experience», I am sure Draft Town is well worth your time.
