I went here on a recommendation from a friend and I was pleased and would go again. I got the Jerk Chicken lunch special with included rice, yam and cabbage. Everything was tasty and not too spicy. If I am ever out that way again I would stop in again and try something else.

Don’t do it. I have eaten here several times and each time it seems that the food was on a downward slide. The first couple of times, the food was great, but more recently the quality of food has gone downhill. I went there recently and the food tasted old and it was clearly microwaved because the carton that it came it had started to melt around the edges. Really? I didn’t go back for several months after that and I decided to give it another try because I had some good experiences in the past. Nope, nothing has changed. The carton is shriveled from being microwaved and this time I have so little food, I already know that I will need a snack in about an hour.

Do you crave spicy, well seasoned jerk chicken? Do you crave the usual sides that accompany it (cabbage, rice & peas, etc.) but with much better flavor??? Then get your tail to D’s Hut in Burnham, IL. Yes I know I sound like a commercial but this place is off the chain… and you’re getting this info from a Jamaican… this place rocks! Their jerk rib tips, jerk chicken, brown stew chicken and side dishes are so mouth watering… trust me it’s worth the trip to get good food for a good price. I haven’t had Jamaican food this good ANYWHERE in Chicago!
