I have ordered from here 4−6x in less than a year. If I rated it before I would give a 3. Today the order was completely wrong and btw who puts the cheese sauce ON the fries and send it out for delivery??? There were several other things missing and I asked for a refund and they could pick it up if they wanted. I had opened a soda and said I would pay for it and again they could pick it up. There was a milkshake another soda and some extra fries. They choose to refund the burgers and cheese fries and charge me for the rest even though I said I don’t want it and they can pick it up.
I have NEVER written a bad review or asked for refund. So, for 6 bucks they have lost a customer and received a bad review.
btw– I called to complain the first time and was «disconnected» I will give them the benefit of the doubt…

I gotta show Eat-​a-​Pita love because they have been one of my secret favs for awhile. By awhile, I mean since I first moved into the ‘hood like 10 years ago! They offer up a large selection of choices (burgers to chicken sandwiches to salads to seafood platters to ribs), so there is definitely something for everyone. You can go meat lovers (italian cheesy beefs) or go veggie (they have hummus/​grape leaves/​falafel) and be satisfied.
One of my favorites is probably their chicken sandwich offerings (avocado + swiss or mushroom and swiss, ftw!). Unlike other places in the area, the sandwich comes with fries or soup and, let me tell you, their soup is always really good — like pure comfort sometimes. Also, the prices are amazing, considering the amount of food they give you.
Everyone is always super nice, too. They have a nice dine-​in area with tv’s, but we usually just order take-​out. Delivery is also available.

I love me some good Mediterranean food. It’s tasty, carried and usually fairly healthy. Of course, I also like cheap food. And that’s where Eat a Pita comes in.
These guys have a ton of good food. Wraps, pita sandwiches, and larger plates. Even some Chicago classics. I’m not a huge fan of their fries — tasty but I prefer thin cut fries personally. But their chicken is amazing. The pitas are warm and soft and the tzatziki is creamy and delicious.
The staff is super friendly and absolutely willing to give you honest suggestions about what is better than what. Nothing is created equal, right? But the food I’ve had has been pretty damn good.
I also love their outdoor seating. You get a nice look over Halsted and Belmont and you can people watch nicely. My only complaint — no beer. I’m not even sure they are BYOB, but I didn’t ask, so don’t quote me on that.
Great cheap, fast and tasty eats! Never stop.

Come for the laid back atmosphere, stay for all of the tasty pitas and wraps. My personal favorite is the pineapple walnut chicken salad pita. So so good!

Just had the rib dinner. Best ribs I have had in a long time can’t ever find a good place for ribs this place has it. My kids had the hotdogs loved them. Coming back soon…

Pros: fast delivery and the menu is inexpensive.
Cons: the menu has WAY too many options and none of them are particularly great. They need to find a focus and get really great at it.
This is a good alternative to dominos but it’s never my top pick.

Needed a place to grab a bite to eat before seeing Blue Man Group. This place has a lot to choose from and the food is priced very reasonably. Everything we ate was delicious! I would definitely come here again.

I have not eaten here in awhile… I had their biscuits and gravy and it was surprisingly awesome. tonight I have these corn nuggets. ive never had them. they were so good. great actually. also… their chicken gumbo soup was great as well. loved it…

We wondered in here on a Friday night. I got the chicken kabob plate. It was so good. Their tzatziki sauce is, for lack of a better word, the bomb! Seriously, I would come back just for that. My friend had the gyro wrap. Also fantastic. Their menu is large. Plenty of options, even for the pickiest eater. The staff was super friendly too. Did I mention that the tzatziki sauce is amazing?!

Decided to give this place a try after doing some shopping and working up an appetite. Looked like a place to grab a quick bite. My expectations weren’t high but when I took a bite of my gyro wrap, I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious. And their tzatziki is amazing. I would go back. Plus they deliver. Bonus!!!

Fast and friendly services. Food is very inexpensive. Quality is ok. I had the Cuban sandwich, nothing special kinda bland overall. The chicken kabob was drenched in lime juice for some reason and slightly undercooked :(The rice that came with was also very bland.

I’ve only had delivery but everything I have tried has been great — gyros plates and sandwiches, kebobs, burgers and esp one of the current monthly specials — Greek style tilapia with rice, steamed veggies and garlic bread. Yummy! Very reasonable prices, generous portions, speedy delivery and courteous delivery drivers. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, discounts for online orders!

Stumbled on here to find the best gyro I’ve had in years. The meat was flavorful and perfectly crispy and not mushy. Coupled with the homemade lentil soup, a wonderful and inexpensive dinner. Friendly staff and outdoor patio dining top it all off. Will return.

The workers were polite and cheery. It had a pleasant atmosphere and was clean. The food was great. They also brought us an extra full serving of baklava because they thought we got ripped off with the size of the first piece.

This is a staple from my college days. How many places can you get a gigantic pita filled with stir fry and choice of side and drink for under $ 10? The selection is truly fantastic. They have all of your typical Chicago hot dog place choices along with the other items which make them unique. They also have a refrigerated case full of desserts. My go-​to is a Sweet and Sour Chicken pita. It is made fresh along with pineapple, green peppers, and tomatoes. I tend to like this version because it is not fried. You can also get the same dish in teriyaki, cajun, and taco styles.
The staff is incredibly friendly and still recognizes my fiancé and myself 10 years later. This is customer service at its best. They also win points on cleanliness. The bathroom is one of the cleanest that I have ever seen in a fast food restaurant. The place seems spotless, but I am not going to take a black light to test that theory.

I can’t say enough good things about eat-​a-​pita. There have definitely been weeks where I have eaten here 5 times. The selection is fantastic. They literally have everything and it is all good. Call daily for the soup selection. Can’t say I’ve had a bad one. A couple dishes I would like to specifically recommend: Grecian chicken plate with rice-​add tzatziki and mix. Simply fantastic. If you are more health conscious, go with the large chicken breast salad. It is a grilled chicken breast on top of a generously portioned salad with plenty of variety. That is definitely a staple in my diet!
Also, if you are in the area a need a quick dessert, they have a cooler of fresh pies, cakes, puddings, etc. They are single portions so they are the perfect cap to a romantic dinner at home.

So, i moved to the neighborhood about 3 months ago and when we moved in our Neighbor was telling us all the best places to go. She said, «Eat a Pita has the best milkshakes.» So we went in to try the milkshakes and no doubt they were delicious. I love their Chocolate-​Peanut Butter.
Over the past months i’ve tried many things on their menu. Their food is a GREAT deal, anyone can order off of the kids menu, which is enough food for a regular person, and their normal meals are under $ 7 – 8, I eat here at least twice a week. Try the soup, try the gyros, chicken tenders, cheese fries, stir fry, etc. Its all good and a great deal. Good desserts too
