Good Mexican food for good money. Little small but you can order for pick up. Nice, quick service if you dine in. Accept only cash

Last night was my first try here based on other reviews. I ordered a Chicken Fajita Dinner to go with Chips and guac. When I got home and unpacked I realized they forgot my salad and avocado… the chicken was from the thigh, on the dry side and lots of grizzle. I opted for all beans with no rice. they were blah. The guac was very good, overall it wasn’t worth $ 17.00.I won’t be back.

BEST Mexican food in the area! This is a fact people. Very very authentic, crazy fast service. You barely eat 5 chips and here comes the food. Real steak, not dog meat like a lot places. And El Pastor on the spot? Yes Sir! Why only 4 stars then? Cash only :(this would be an instant 5 stars if they took credit cards, how many people carry cash these days? I don’t. Only to eat here.

OMG I love my Mexican Food and believe me when I ever I see a new mexican restaurant. I’m like lets give it a shot! We usually do and that’s myself and my daughter. I love this restaurant that I take my all my co-worker and introduce them to my cheap Mexican spot. There is one little thing that you might not like that it’s CASHONLY.

What can I say? The food here is amazing and cheap. The portions are very generous, and the amount is incredibly reasonable. I like that the food is very fresh and authentic.

This is my late night spot to grab some good food. Tasty, but a bit expensive. I recommend the gorditas and fajitas.

I just moved to Chicago and have visited a few Mexican joints here. But so far this one has the best tasting food and considerable portions. Don’t judge the place by the outside… The food is great and has tons of flavor!!!

When I think tacos I think Taconazo! I am extremely picky when it comes to tacos. Everything has to coincide. The chips, the salsa, the horchata. If your salsa is nasty I won’t even try a taco! Safe to say Ive been coming here for more than 5yrs. I know the number by heart, the ladies know me by face and my kids. They know my kids orders, it’s the cutest! Looks are deceiving on the outside so don’t let that stop you from coming in. Food is greattttt! Downside of this restaurant is the bathroom. It’s so tiny and graffiti everywhere. Hopefully they expand. But even if they don’t I’m still coming to eat!

«What an absolute dive!» Those are the words I used to mutter every time I would drive by this place. This is the epitome of never judge a book by its cover. I don’t remember the circumstances as to why I finally tried this place, but I am just glad that I did. This is one of my favorite Mexican Food spots in the city. I always go for the Steak torta, side of rice, and a refreshing horchata. That is my go to order, and I am never disappointed. I have also tried most of the tacos here, and they are nothing but delicious. My only thing is the ventilation is not good here, so I come out smelling like grilled meats. I don’t mind the smell, but just not on my clothes. I will gladly have t-shirts that smell of grilled meats, if the trade off is food from this place. If you are ever in the are, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Just tell them Peter sent you. They will have no idea who you are talking about, but go ahead and order anyway.

There are few taco places around the city and in the suburbs that i like. You can call me a taco snob. The tacos & salsa are superb & the waitresses are really sweet and attentive too !

I absolutely love this place tacos de carne asada are the bomb. I’ve had the tacos from their taquero at a party the carne asada and al pastor is amazing. The restaurant doesn’t look like much but the service is good and the food is great my only complaint would be that it’s cash only.

The food is decent, on the greasy side… but that’s dismissable. Have eaten here a few times and am never blown away with the food but it’s not bad food either. The bathroom is pretty small and not pleasant. My biggest complaint is that its hard to communicate without speaking Spanish. It would just be a lot easier if I had someone taking my order that spoke English. Not a huge deal but definitely makes it more uncomfortable ordering food.

I was feeling the need to get a little food to hold me over until I could get to the restaurant I was heading to for lunch so I ordered one ground beef taco and a bottle of Coke to go. My total for one taco and a bottle of Coke came to $ 4.21 which means it would have had to have been to the world’s best taco to make those prices reasonable. While I was waiting on my food I used the restroom. That was the worst decision I made in my visit here. It was dirty and about the size of a small closet with urine on the floor. Then the icing on the cake is the graffiti on the walls in the restroom. After the bathroom disaster I was so disgusted that I didn’t even bother looking around the interior of the restaurant for fear of what I might see. Needless to say the bottle of Coke was ok. Hey, it was cold so other than the temp there’s nothing that can go wrong with an unopened bottle of Coke. As far as the taco goes it was ok. I was expecting more based on the big sign outside saying«Authentic» Mexican food. Granted the flavor was closer to Mexican flavors than say an Americanized Taco Bell one, but it fell far short of the«authentic» flavors they advertised. It basically tasted good, just not as good as other Mexidan restaurants that do serve authentic flavored food. The one really good thing about the taco was that there was a lot of stuff crammed in that little taco. Will I return here? That is highly unlikely based on the terrible condition of the very cramped bathroom and the mediocre«authentic» flavors. I’ve eaten tacos at other Mexican restaurants around town and this one is not even close to authentic in my opinion. If you want real authentic Mexican flavors I’d recommend that people go to the small restaurants that are so plentiful in the general area around the 5200 block of W. Fullerton which isn’t too far away. Who knows maybe the other items on their menu are priced better and have better flavorings, but I don’t see myself going back to find out after seeing their bathroom and paying so much for one small taco and a Coke. Overall a bad experience for me. I strongly recommend that others try someplace else since there are so many really good Mexican restaurants not too far away from here.
