I literally downloaded and created an account just to share my experience with Ellas. I’m a sophomore at the school that is very close and I came to eat and I was greeted by an intimidating«WHATDOYAWANT» I gave him my order, and he told me my total. I didn’t hear him the first or second time, and he started getting irritated and over pronounced the word like I was stupid. Then when he got my drink, he got some of it all over the sides making the cup sticky. And there was too much foam, but instead of pouring it out or waiting for it to go down, he just threw the fucking lid on! What the fuck! Then even more came out from the top to drip on my hand as I was trying to press it down. Food also is kind of expensive for a tennager. The food was okay, but definitely not worth the experience. Hey get the word out Ella’s corner is open on Friday nights from 5:00 — 9:00 p.m.. They make some mean teriyaki sliders, their kimchee fried rice is flavorful and keep you full too. Come on down to Ella’s Corner if you’re in the neighborhood you won’t regret it.

This review is for the Friday night menu that just started last week. During normal business hours(i.e., weekdays ’til 4p I believe) this place is busy with Whitney Young students and cadets from the police academy, but on Friday this place turns into a casual asian spot. Most everything is under $ 10 on the menu with the exception of the asian grilled skirt steak which is $ 14.50. Also, this spot is small. There’s only four or five small tables so don’t come with a large group! My wife and I had the teriyaki sliders which came with three sliders and Togarashi fries. These sliders are THE signature item on the menu. They are the juiciest, tastiest burgers I’ve had. Paired with that sweet, soft Hawaiian bread, I was transported to another place. Goodness gracious, I wish I could order a whole tray of these for a party. I also had the grilled spicy Korean chicken, which is similar to Dak galbi, but not quite the same as what you’d get in a traditional Korean restaurant. A little spicy, but not as tender and sweet as what I have had and prefer. So I’ll be back to try some of the other items on the menu, which seem to feature more Korean and Hawaiian dishes than anything else. Nice start and hope to see things improve as they get things figured out here for Friday nights.

Good food, priced reasonable, don’t expect ground breaking grub but its worth it!

I really like this place because it’s close to school and the food here is pretty decent. The guy who owns the place is a Chinese guy named Gordy. he’s really nice and funny. He likes to make fun of you if he knows you well enough. It’s a self serve restaurant but sometimes he will take care of you when business isn’t hot. The food here doesn’t have too much variety but they are pretty decent in size. it’s about 4~7 $ per meal and it comes with a sandwich, fries and a drink. I recommend this place if you don’t mind a not so high class restaurant.
