Everything Alpaca – Water Tower Place

Well, I am neither Ronnie Retail, nor Freddie Fashion, but I was really impressed with this little shop and its products. As you probably figured out, all of the products, men’s and women’s outerwear, sweaters, gloves, hats, and scarves, are all made of alpaca. I’ve always been very picky about wool (pun intended), and leery about these garments being uncomfortable. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I have a couple pairs of their socks, and they are comfortable, not too bulky and warm. These products are perfect for a Chicago climate. You can wear the socks with your little sissy Italian slippers, and your feet will stay warm. Alpaca is, by their report, seven times warmer than wool. There are beautiful men’s and women’s overcoats, and equally gorgeous sweaters, and accessories, all in great colors, and at prices which are less than cashmere products. They are easily wearable in warmer weather, too. Alpaca’s are used to extremes.
I like small shops with limited quality products, and helpful, knowledgeable (but not too pushy) staff, and Everything Alpaca meets those criteria. Any place that makes shopping an easier task is a good friend of mine. In short, soft, comfortable, and fashionable all-​season wear, from people who LOVE alpacas. If nothing else, get yourself some socks and let an alpaca keep all your little piggies toooasty warm!
