I have to say that when you go to check your vision at a chain business such as Vision Works, LC and VW you miss out on many test and explanations of such. I have never in my life have had such a COMPLETE eye exam as I had today. I walked out feeling better about everything even thought i might have to get new glasses :) I am just happy that I was sent to Dr Fahy.

Our family has gone to Dr. Fahy for over 20 years now. Our insurance requires that we go to places like LensCrafters or Sears, so we tried those. But we ended up back at Dr. Fahy’s to get glasses that actually work. We go directly to dr. Fahy now, even though insurance doesn’t apply at all. Dr. Fahy has the skills(and the sense) to figure out things like — 27 gradations of progressives gives my husband headaches but 6 gradations work well. The mass produced places don’t even get the concept. And his STAFF is so very nice and helpful. You can stop in for adjustments, replacement screws, little o-rings — whatever, they’re always cheerful and prompt. I’d give Dr. Fahy SIXSTARS if it were possible.

My whole family has been going to Dr. Fahy for years. Even though many of my siblings no longer live in Chicago, they will come out of their way to go to Dr. Fahy. He is so thorough and such a kind caring person. You can really tell that he loves what he does and is proud of his work. And he has every reason to be! I would never even consider going anywhere else.

Most places I have been to in the last few years herd people in and out like cattle. 10 – 15 minute appointments and then a rush to get you out of there. Not here. Dr. Fahy spent about an hour examining my eyes, asking me questions and trying to make sure he gets the prescription correct. It was a comfortable environment where I felt free to voice my questions and concerns, and he responded to all of them. When I picked up my contacts, Dr. Fahy brought me back into the chair to check the fit and the prescription. I was able to read the 20⁄20 line, which at least 3 of those«in and out» optometrists have told me is impossible for me due to astigmatism. I will be back here for years to come.
