Top notch service. From manager to server to bus, great service. Food was great. This might be a chain but there are serious chefs working their magic in the kitchen. I ordered the crab cakes, wedge salad, waygu NY, and Flemings potatoes. Meat was cooked perfect. Also ordered a choc molten lava, came out perfect. Bottle of Marc West Pinot Noir. Also thanks for the complimentary shuttle!!! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you Flemings.

Food was great. The view from the upstairs booth was also perfect. Manager even offered local van service.

Food service and view were excellent! Will definitely come back again! Had the Ribeye special which included side and dessert for less than 40.00! Can’t beat that! Ribeye was cooked to perfection!

I just went to flemings for my birthday. As far as a nice steak house — it’s decent. As far as a nice restaurant in general it’s great! With a party of 9, we were well attended to, received good detail to food, and everyone had enough selection for their preferences. I got the«fall special» which was strange to see still on the menu; as I love fall food though, I wasn’t upset. $ 69.95 got you a delicious soup, a 14 oz bone in filet mignon with 2 lobster tails, a side dish of roasted acorn squash, and pumpkin cheese cake with vanilla crème brûlée on top. The food overall would get a 4 but what blew my away was the fact that service was impeccable — Rhianna is the waitress you want. She’s amazing! With my dessert came a candle which I thought was cute. After we paid the bill She brought me a pack of 4 giant, rich chocolate, truffles and a $ 25 gift card that doesn’t expire and can be used as long as the meal is $ 75. With the receipt comes a survey that you are paid $ 25 to fill out… so if they’re usable together that’s an incredible deal. Overall — I do recommend. For Birthdays — I definitely recommend.

I went Flemings to celebrate a birthday for myself and a job promotion for a friend. It was ladies night! 7 of us girls arrived at Flemings ready to enjoy drinks, food, and each others company. The only problem was there was NO heat in the restaurant and it happened to be the coldest day of 2016(and the first very cold day of the year). My party and I couldn’t believe that the staff was acting as if this was normal. However once brought to the waitress Hanna’s attention she did everything in her power to make our time at Flemings great but fix the heat. Which she couldn’t control. After our dinner we contacted the manager at Flemings and this is when our experience went from not too bad based on Hanna’s service. Because it still felt about 45 degrees in the inside of Flemings during dinner and this was with a packed bar. So our body heat warmed the place a little. Tim Baker listed to our complains and praise of Hanna and invited us back. Let me tell you Mr. Baker laid everything out for us but the red carpet. He turned our not so great night into an awesome night the second time around. Please go visit Tim Baker and his staff and if you catch Hanna or Stephanie tip them well because they will give you awesome service that will make you want to return and tell your friends about your great experience.

My husband and I ate here for our anniversary. The atmosphere is perfect for a date. All the staff were amazing. From the hostess to our server, everyone was great. We received a card for our anniversary from them, as well as complimentary champagne and a little box of candies to take home with us. For a drink, I had a glass of unoaked chardonnay that blew my mind. For dinner, I ordered the Main Filet, medium-well, with Flemings Potatoes and Asparagus to share. My husband also had the Main Filet, medium. My steak came out much to bloody for my taste, but they quickly shuffled it away for a few more minutes on the grill. Husbands filet was also a little bloody, but he can handle it. The steak was good, but not the best ever. Both sides were delicious. This place is great, but a little too pricey for what you get. Dinner for two of us was $ 160.

Awesome evening. I have gone to pretty much every steak house in Chicago. Chicago Cut, Gibsons, RPM. And although I know Flemings is a chain it holds its own against the local specialty restaurants. We started at the bar with Lonnie. I had the Farmers Daughter martini, my bf had an Old Fashion. We moved on to our table and started our meal. The bread was amazing with the two whipped butters. Then we had the tempura lobster tails, Flemings potatoes and spinach. It was all so yummy.. Then we finished the meal off with carrot cake. The carrot cake has pineapple in the batter. It’s amazing!

Husband and I were in town for a convention. We stumbled upon this place and glad we did. The steaks were awesome and the waiters wine suggestion paired wonderfully. We took advantage of the complementary ride back to our hotel. I would come back here if and when I come back to Chicago. We both had rib eyes one bone in one dry aged, mash potatoes, and asparagus. Was outstanding and cooked to perfection. So glad we ended up here.

In a city with what feels like an infinite amount of steakhouses, a steakhouse either sinks or swims. Fleming’s swims. Allow me to explain… Restaurants have a ton of «moving parts» and no matter how much fine tuning goes into a customer’s experience, «parts» break down. Even at the higher end restaurants. But it is if and how the management and staff resolve it, is what matters. The Breakdown: My NY Strip arrived very charred on the outside. So much so that it was crunchy when I chewed it and of course the burnt flavor was unpleasant. So I was looking for the waiter to get the issue resolved but took quite a while to find him. He took the steak back and informed me they were going to make another one. This took a VERY long time — my friend pretty much finished his meal and his share of the string beans. Waiting, waiting waiting… The waiter came back to inform me they were baking the steak so it doesn’t burn. With all due respect, if you can’t cook a steak medium without burning it, then get out of the business! My steak eventually arrived and was delivered by the manager with fresh string beans. The manager was very professional and apologized and even took the steak off the check. Text book example of how to resolve a breakdown. The OK/Decent: — Service was very friendly and fun but it took a long time to get water at the beginning and then took a VERY long time for the waiter to check back with us after food was delivered. — French Onion soup and cheesecake The Excellent: — Bread service: warm crusty bread served with Merlot cheddar spread and Chardonnay brie spread. — Spicy Thai green beans — Wine list: good range of low to high priced bottles with plenty to choose by the glass — My friend’s prime ribeye — My corrected NY strip — The manager! I’ll be back for steak and lobster next week!

I was looking for a happy hour place with good food specials and I read positive reviews about Fleming’s. I sat in the bar area and ordered from the bar menu. From 5−7pm, 5 cocktails, 5 wines and 5 appetizers are $ 6 each except the burger which is $ 7. I ordered the prime burger w/fries and the french twist lemonade cocktail. Both were good! The meat was flavorful, but the bacon was a bit overcooked. I enjoyed the cocktail and would order it again. I think the happy hour specials are a great deal. I definitely want to come back and try their other appetizers and drinks.

They have the best filet I have had in a while. I have been here for a few private functions and the service is great. The brie bites are super yummy. The mashed potatoes are really creamy. the ambiance is great. I love this place.

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary. Having heard from friends that it was a great experience we went in with high expectations, however I was rather disappointed. Starting off with cork floating in my wine glass that I had to pick out with my fingers. We ordered our steaks medium rare but they turned out to be barely cooked, after waiting for about 20 minutes after sending the food back to be cooked to our order the plate returned missing the scallops that previously accompanied the steak. We addressed this to the waiter and he returned 15 minutes later with the rest of our food but we were already full from what we were served. When it came time for dessert our waiter forgot that my meal included a dessert for which we had to remind him, once he came with our dessert he left us with no silver wear, my boyfriend had to reach to the table behind us to grab forks so we did not have to eat with our hands Overall, I was not impressed with the service or the food, I would not recommend this place to anyone and I do not plan on returning.

Great food! Excellent customer service! You guys get 6 stars! Chose this place for my bf’s birthday and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. Customer service was excellent as soon as we walked in the door. Lance greeted us when we walked in and walked us to our table upstairs. Ladarien(I hope I spelled his name right) our waiter was so pleasant and knew exactly when to check on us. We both had long work days and didn’t get there until late in the evening but they never once made us feel rushed even though we were pretty much the last to leave. I was sure we were going to get the boot but they were so kind to us and made sure that we had a great evening. It is so important for me for the waiter/waitress to be pleasant so that I can enjoy my food and evening and Ladarien exceeded our expectations. EVERYONE was actually nice in this place. You can really tell that this place is being managed well and the people are genuinely nice. I can’t remember what he ate(since we visited in March. I know, but I just haven’t had the time to post. Smack my hand! I’m supposed to be an elite reviewer! That’s how great the customer service was, I remembered their names!) but I had the Alaskan king crab legs and mashed potatoes. They were delicious and my appetite was satisfied. I had a couple of sidecar’s too for my drinks. First time I ever tasted it since Ladarien recommended it when I said I like cognac and now it’s my favorite drink. I’m really not sure why no one has ever recommended this drink to me especially since it’s been around forever but glad I know about it now. Oh and Lance was there to tell us to have a good night on the way out the door. I highly recommend this place.

Another steakhouse with a name I been wanting to try out so how does it add up against a stellar rank of competition in chicago? Scenery: First off, I really like the scene of this spot. Great hip lighting still keep it eloquent but suave as well. 2 Stories, down stairs houses a chill seating arrangement with a bar surrounded by stool seating and upstairs for more party/initmate dining. Either or, both sections/floors will satisfy your mood. I can imagine this place is real hip during happy hour time(which they do offer and I am looking forward to trying out). Service: As expected with these types of places, top notch. Our waitress was pleasant, knew the menu well, and did not hesitate to offer her personal favorites which were truely welcomed. The staff was all nice and affable. My company has knee problems to which the staff noticed and offered an elevator for convenience. Definitely wins points from me. Food: But this is what it comes down to right? For starters, the sweet chilli calamari did not disappoint. I’m not to high on calamri in general but wouldnt hesitate to call this the best preparation i’ve had of the entrée. Not too spicy, not too sweet; blended well with just enough crisp. For my entrée, the new york strip. Good, not great but does enough to keep your taste buds satisfied. Potatoes were the side dish, prepared more thinly sliced in a creamy base with cheese. Kudos for originality, another good one. For my drink, I tried their black berry bramble(loved it) gin cocktail and their boyd and blair vodka(not too my liking). Dessert menu caught my eye offering a smores and graham cracker w/scotch chocolate. Who doesn’t enjoy smores and a good scotch =D.Again kudos for the originality but it sounds a lot better than it really is. It’s worth trying atleast once. Overall: 4 stars solid. holds up against the top tier steak houses in chi, which says a lot. I’d go again especially to try out the happy hour. cheers

Fleming’s Happy Hour makes me a very happy lady. My husband decided to come here for my birthday dinner last night. We did their famous 5 for $ 6 Til’ 7 P.M. deal and it was excellent! We got to sit down right away because the place it was their slow part of the day. The time after work hour are over and dinner time hadn’t begun yet. So we like to catch busy restaurants when they are not crowded. We sat down the waitress was very nice and greeted us. We took our time looking over the menu which wasn’t that large since it was happy hour. Even with a small menu for happy hour the selection was very nice. We ordered their tenderloin carpaccio, roasted butternut squash ravioli, pan-crusted pork belly and heir prime beef burger. Every plate was delicious the prime burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare and we loved the fatty pork belly. I wish the pork belly was a little bit more crispy than fatty but it was still good. We still enjoyed the pork belly. I really loved the tenderloin carpaccio on some toasted crostini. It had thinly sliced steak with some greens and cappers it was delicious. We can’t wait to bring friends here or a happy hour the food is divine. The customer service was excellent too. We shall be back Fleming’s.

Note that this is a review for the happy hour(bar) only, NOT for the dining room. I’ve been here twice to sample their happy hour, once for the 5−6−7 menu($ 6 items from 5 to 7 p.m.) and once for the 8−9−10 menu($ 9 items from 8 to 10 p.m.). I’m a big fan of happy hour menus so I wanted to give it a try here. It was sadly a disappointingi experience. I had the sweet calamari and prime burger for the 5−6−7, and the filet mignon flatbread and s’more for the 8−9−10. None of them tasted good and the plates are sloppily prepared. I actually ate only half the plate. I will not recommend going here for happy hour, there are a lot of better options in Chicago.

The food is amazing here. We had a girls night dinner and we decided to go to a new place. Everything was absolutely delicious. I started with the creamy burrata and tomatoes and for my main meal I had the petit filet mignon with the lobster and truffle sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection and absolutely divine. My friend had two of the small plates scampi and scallops with squash noodles and the tempura lobster. We shared the lobster Mac&cheese. It was an amazing meal. Our waiter was courteous and helpful. We noticed that servers here don’t get much help from the busboys. But overall it was a wonderful experience.

Recently decided to check out Fleming’s for their Happy Hour. They have 2 Happy Hour options: the 5 for $ 6 till 7pm or the 8 for $ 9 till 10pm. Haven’t been to Flemings in a while so i figured this would be a good time to go back. I ordered the Spiced Zinfandel Lemonade which was a bad decision. It’s a good drink if you are a fan of sweet drinks. But I figured since it was made with Tito’s Vodka, which in my opinion is a pretty good vodka, it would be a little stronger than that. Negative. I didn’t even finish it and ordered the Ward 8 which was great. Let this be a lesson to always go with your first gut instinct(which in my case was the Ward 8). FYI they also have a seasonal beer option for $ 3. Also ordered the calamari which wasn’t that good. The sweet chile sauce made the calamari extremely soggy and it overpowered the dish in my opinion. Our waitress/bartender was dynamite though(probably should have gotten her name for this review). Staff was extremely friendly and nice so I’m not going to let some soggy calamari stop me from coming back. Especially since I have my eyes set on the jumbo crab cakes next time. Right now it’s behind McCormick and Schmicks for Happy Hour.

I went to Fleming’s this evening for there«5 for $ 6 til 7» happy hour. Like always they didn’t disappoint. The bar area is first come first serve and you seat yourself. We sat in the back booth and let the ordering begin. What a bargain it is because the food and drinks are top notch. We ordered 6 Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini’s(Yum), Cedar Roasted Mushroom and Artichoke Flatbread(Delicious), Shrimp, Brie platter, and a Bacon Burger with fries. Can you believe for the 3 of us our bill only amounted to $ 23 a person for all that food??? The service is excellent. Our waitress wasn’t overbearing, but would check on us. The noise level is perfect and we were able to enjoy our 3 hour conversation without feeling rushed. The owner(I presume he was the owner) was great and he came over to check on us as well. This is an awesome place to catch up, share some laughs, and eat/drink wonderful food. The only possible con is there are only about 3 TVs. I know for happy hour some people find that a big requirement to see them everywhere. Doesn’t bother me one bit though. Last, but not least I gotta mention the chocolate mints they have when you come in. I have like 5 in my purse there so good. I can’t wait to come back here and try there dinner menu.
