This place is a hidden gem. I used to work in the tower and was hooked on their pizza. It’s nice that it’s not a tourist trap — so you usually can get in without a wait. I have tried their antipastos and entrees and have not been disappointed.

Rude bus boy, inattentive waitstaff, water down lemonade, overly salty pizza. Not coming back. Nothing special about this place, would not recommend it.

Great location for a restaurant in a mall. Décor is good and it isn’t too loud. I wouldn’t recommend the food though. Ordered calamari and a pizza to share. Calamari was decent enough, although slightly over salted. The pizza was a complete disaster. Greasy, gritty cheese and was basically all crust. Lackluster food accompanied with unattentive and poorly trained waitstaff. Save your money and go to Potbelly’s next door.

Great Wine Tasting Hosted by Teraence Mosley! All Jw. Unlimited Wine for $ 40. Nice classy place located in Bloomingdales

The 3 stars are for the view and ambience, not the food. There is a huge window overlooking Michigan Ave with a great view below. My wife ordered the chicken and pesto pizza and we expected a nice Neapolitan style pie but what we got was a dry, bland pizza. The pesto sauce was ok but the tomato sauce and chicken were very bland. Service was great however.

Frankie’s Fifth Floor pizzeria is a «lettuce entertain you» restaurant. This place is set up like a fast food eatery. It’s good thin crust pizza. The pizza crust it’s like a soft thin french bread. The sauce is tasty, a little tangy and the cheese is nice. It’s not super cheesy layered pizza. I have come to terms with that thin crust pizza is a novelty food in Chicago. Chicago’s idea of thin crust is pricey gourmet food I suppose. A slice of thin crust pizza is $ 3.99 and I believe the sausage was $ 4.99. The pizza was good and I don’t mind a treat of good thin crust pizza and there. If you want a whole pizza it is $ 25 for about 6 large slices. I’d recommend this pizza to anyone who is looking for some good thin crust pizza.

This place is so good. The décor and ambiance you completely forget you’re in a shopping mall. The bread and olive oil on the table is very good. The chicken pesto sandwich was so good and flavorful. The lunch combos are a great deal as well.

Well it’s a LEYE so you know it’s going to be decent. I like to stop here for lunch or an early dinner after shopping my ass off. Expect to see lots of tourists and crabby, tired women with lots of shopping bags. Their chopped salad is good and you can’t wrong with any of the pizzas. My fav has arugula on top. They also have one with a cracked egg… yumm. They serve brunch now too. I’ll have to check that out. They also have one extremely hot waiter so four stars it is!

Not good. The only thing that was good was my Italian margarita. 10 min wait for water. Other guests had bread and oil and it took us asking for bread and then they brought it with no oil and then we had to ask for oil. Our soups were brought out and they were not even hot and after we ate half of the soup we were offered fresh ground pepper. Lol It’s been a hysterical experience!

Nice place to head to after hours of shopping. Decent price point and the food is pretty good. My friend and I shared 2 pizzas. I chose the potato and Arugula pizza and she chose the mushroom. I love the crust of these brick oven pizzas. Next time i plan on exploring there over entrees.

Tried this out on Sunday. Wasn’t super busy, waitress was polite but very rushed. pepperoni pizza was spot on(. The Buffala looked amazing too but was only available by the slice. Fresh squeezed lemonade was a dud, but that was the only downer. We will be back for sure!

$ 6 for a slice of pizza to go? Outrageous at first(especially for a New Yorker), but considering the ingredients are local, the crust is organic, the slice is huge, and the taste(for the Mushroom one with grana padano and truffle oil) amazing… I guess it’s not so bad… but let’s not forget, this is the 900 N Michigan Shops, would you expect a cheaper price? Ideally I would give it 3.5.

My friend and I go into the city about once a month, we used to try other places but always kept coming back to Frankie’s. We love the garlic spread they give out, and the lunch specials. My personal favorite the Baked Spaghetti, Chopped Salad and the Filet Sliders. The staff is always pleasant and its nice and quick.

I’m writing a review about their quick takeaway pizza outside of the restaurant. It’s delicious! If you are in a hurry and only want a couple of slices fast, this is totally worth it. I’ve tried the mushroom pizza, which put me in heaven because of the truffle oil they drizzle on it at the end. I’ve also tried the peperoni pizza, which had some jalapenos on it. This pizza was decent, but I wasn’t much of a jalapeño fan. I will say that the hostess was a little confusing. We wanted to just grab a slice and I couldn’t tell what she was telling us to do. We decided we wanted to sit outside the restaurant and eat our one slice so we were stuck in a little corner eating. I guess it could be worse! Oh by the way, tea is something like $ 3 here. A bit spendy for generic tea!

This was a tough one to rate. Server was great, $ 10 Montepulciano wine was good and a bargain. I had the chicken pesto pizza. it was just OK. The Caprese was a complete waste… a clod of cheese and a spoonful of goofy tomatoes. Kids had chicken fingers… kinda of small portion.

Frankie’s was my reliable go to Italian in the city. I worked nearby at the Hancock building so many after-work dinners were had here. The service is awesome, very prompt and I think the food is great. I felt the wines can get a bit pricey and its a bit small so it can get too cozy with other diners for my comfort, but I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat in the area.

If you haven’t tried their pizza recently, its definitely worth a visit. As is the takeaway counter for pizza during lunch. Get with a side salad and feel healthier :)

Well, Frankie’s unfortunately has some details stacked against it from the beginning. #1 issue: it’s in a mall. Already I’m thinking food court quality, but luckily Frankie’s was more than that. Sadly, food wise, it wasn’t that much more. I had the baked ziti as my meal. Good amount of food for the price, didn’t have much flavor, and a little too hot when served. However, the baked ravioli appetizer and the tiramisu were phenomenal. I also tried my friend’s butternut squash ravioli. Really good, but way too sweet for me to have a full plate of it. Overall, a good experience, but not the best food. Favorite part of the night? Our hostess Shannon was amazing! Definitely the best by far!

Great wine list! Fabulous bread. SALADSARESOOOOOGOOOD! I had the tuna salad and it was great — not too heavy but by no means skimpy. Dressings were incredible also — I had the lemon and Dijon vinaigrette. Wish they bottled that stuff. Took a while for the server to notice us… I mean, a LOOONNGGGG time. And we had to ask her for EVERYTHING. No wait, we had to ask someone to ask her for EVERYTHING. She was totally checked out and it was annoying because we really wanted to just grab a quick lunch before we hit the Thanksgiving weekend sales at Bloomingdales. Other than that, I love Frankie’s! Great place to grab lunch while embracing consumerism at all the awesome shopping at the Bloomingdales building :)

I stopped here after seeing my Plastic Surgeon in the same building… what a pleasant experience. The individual pizzas were very flavorful and the service was very friendly. I’ve been back multiple times and leave VERY satisfied every time! I like a place with a great view and a nice place to people watch. When seated you are immediately gifted some hard breadsticks and a garlic butter! I start out with the Four Cheese Toasted Ravioli and it could have eaten a dozen of them! I’m also a sucker for a great Pizza Margherita and it is perfect for the size serving. I love a crunchy crust and a soft center! Plus, if you are a meatball fan, then try the meatball appetizer(with or without Ricotta).
