Incredibly rude service. No one deserves to be treated with such disrespect. Our party was told to go get a drink at McDonalds. We will not be going back again.

‘Cause I’ve got The AC Golden Sour Show ticket! I’ve got a golden twinkle in my eye! Word on the street is that Fred & Adolph’s is harder to get into than Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. It’s a private pub operated by MillerCoors and used for promotional purposes and special events. However, if you’re lucky enough to get on one of their guest lists, you’ll be treated to freely flowing beer from their venture(Miller, Coors, Molson, Crispin Hard Cider Company and their Fox Barrel line, Tenth and Blake, AC Golden, Blue Moon and affiliated imports) and special tappings. Maria F. invited me as her guest for Tenth and Blake’s The AC Golden Sour Show. It showcased AC Golden Brewing Company sour beers(Berliner Weisse, Peche, and American Wild Ale), which I won’t even go into detail about because I think they are an acquired taste and I lack it. What I will say is that I found the first was my favorite of the three and mixed well with hard cider because the beer cut the sweetness and the Crispin smoothed over the roughness. While it was a Sour Show, I was most impressed with Tenth and Blake’s bonus brew: Gedeon’s 1028, a Belgium Style Dubbel with 6.35% ABV that won the 2012 Tenth and Blake Employee Homebrew Contest. They tapped the showcased beers every 30 minutes but had the Gedeon’s 1028 going the entire evening. I kept coming back for more and switched between that and Crispin for most of the night. I also tried Fox Barrel’s Pacific Pear hard cider, but I just can’t get into that. I’m sorry to say that I won’t be purchasing that in the future, but I will be looking to see if I can get my mitts on the Dubbel. These events are perfect for trying out new brews, so I hope I’m on the mailing list now and will be updated about other promotions I can attend. The venue is spacious, though the large bar tends to get crowded, but the atmosphere is laidback because the bartenders are working hard to get drinks out and everything is free. How can anyone have a poor attitude when free beer is involved(especially good beer)? I just don’t think it’s possible. The roof deck is where it’s at. They have a giant open patio that wraps around the building. You get a great view of the city. During the summer, a beer and this drink deck just can’t be beat. There doesn’t appear to be a dress code(unless specifically stated for certain events), but most people were dressed in business attire and well kempt. Don’t let game nights deter you from attending either. They have a TV and had the game on. Also, as they say in the Unilocal world, «While this event is complimentary, the service is not.» Don’t be a douchecanoe and remember to tip the hardworking staff!
