Fred Mangan is one of the most creative people I know. This is the kind of person that inspires you to go beyond the norm and do things you didn’t think were possible. Thanks for the great work on my bass! You took it from being a piece of dead wood turd to being an instrument again!

Even though I don’t know how to play the guitar yet, I’ve stopped in a couple of times to kill time with Fred. He is infinitely cool and wildly talented. He builds guitars and does repairs, and seems to know every one.
I said ‘builds’ guitars instead of ‘makes’ them because he creates unique, one-​of-​a-​kind guitars out of the strangest materials. Not only are they striking pieces of art, they actually work. Don’t believe me? Check this out:
