I went here because it is very local to me. We stopped in to get a couple of items. Shelves and bottles are very dusty. As we were checking out, their credit card system errored out yet still charged my card twice. This concerned me as the manager, Daniel, stated that the charges will fall off in a couple days. Then he recommended I go to an atm. He wasn’t concerned at all about the charges on my card but yet I’m out $ 93 with out anything to show for it.
I will not be back!

I am almost hesitant to Unilocal this, as I know there are some hardcore bourbon collectors following, but I believe on passing it forward…
I have found many rare bottles (Booker’s 25^th Anniversary, Elmer T. Lee *commemorative* edition, George T. Stagg Jr., Sazerac rye, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof — just to name a few) on their shelves… not to mention an impressive collection of hard-​to-​find tequila, rum and scotch. this place is an absolute hidden gem and worth a trip for any serious whiskey collector, even if it is a little out of the way. prices average about $ 5 higher than local retail on items like Blanton’s and some mid-​tier favorites, but it’s hard to beat the selection! I just blew my bourbon budget for the next couple months, but I’m definitely gonna make this store a new weekly stop.

This place has always been a liquor store to me!!! I grew up coming here with my Dad to stock up our house for parties. We use to load two carts full… when I was a kid I had no idea this was a lot of alcohol but now when I look back it totally was… all I can say is that my parents threw some great events!!!
This place has everything you could ever want from Vodkas to Craft Brews. I really like this place because all they do is sell alcohol. Yeah for Cardonal Liquors!!! That is what they are dedicated too! If you want Coors Light then go to Jewel, please do not hold up the line from the serious drinker! Do not come here to do your grocery shopping, unless you are buying for Nicholas Cage’s character in «Leaving Las Vegas»!
Liquor Liquor and more Liquor… that is what you will find here! Be careful on holidays becaue the store can become quite crowded. They also have a pariking lot too unless you want to pay the parking meter!!!

I probably wouldn’t go to this location to shop, just because I don’t live in the area, but the employees were friendly. I had the opportunity to see what the employees were really like, because I was holding a liquor event here. I was at this location for a few hours, and what I observed was a vast knowledge of products, as well as a friendly customer friendly atmosphere.
If I’m in the area, and need something I will go back.

Awesome place.
1) Their prices beat all the other neighboring liquor stores by a lot. Jewel has cheaper beer, but that’s because they’re jewel. You should buy liquor from a liquor store, not a grocery store =)
2) Their have a large selection AND they keep a good stock of their selection. I know what they sell, and when i want it, they have it. They don’t run out of what i go there for — ever.
3) Staff is super helpful. Not only are they willing to help a large guy like me take a few boxes of packaged goods our to my vehicle, they also have a knowledge of what they’re selling.
There is always a middle aged white man helping people out. It’s clear he’s the «boss» around there, but he may also be the owner??? not sure on that, but he’s been a HUGE help in the past w/​my questions/​inquires into wines and other spirits. Basically, if you have a question, SOME ONE in the store will be able to help you. I’ve personally been helped w/​wine, exotic beer, bourbon and even absinthe selections.
Great place. If you live within 5 miles, definitely make the drive here.
Oh yea, also they have a private lot — so parking is easy… but there is usually street parking, which is even closer, readily available.

It’s good for around here but not 5 stars.

Cardinal. Fast, cheap, and orders esoteric liquor when necessary. Kwok specifically for my husband. Prices cannot be beat.

Great selection of liquor and spirits. They have a decent selection of beer and wine but it pales in comparison to their liquor selection. They have EVERYTHING, in multiple sizes and at good prices.
They have ample parking and are close to home. I’ve found my new favorite liquor store!

This place is wonderful, just wonderful. It’s a haven for alcoholics and casual drinkers alike. Plenty of wine — all at excellent prices and lots of help if you need it since I don’t drink it. Lots of liquor and then my favorite section in the back in the last row — ah yes, beer. They have our favorites from Unibrou, Bell’s, New Holland, and so on — not just dusty and on the shelf, but cooling in the fridge right behind it. They still have a few Kalamazoo’s left — the Wheat kind in case anyone who knows about the Bell’s Kalamazoo branding debacle and wants to get it before it is totally gone. The prices are great and the people who work there are interesting. You’d think after looking up Woodchuck Amber for the past 6 months, they’d put it in the system with a barcode scan. Nope, I’m stuck in a world here where I’m looked at seriously holding a green and red container with woodchucks on it being asked about my «woodbridge» wine. Also, it’s only happened once, but one time the lady asked me how much it was and I told her $ 5.99 and she believed me. Going to hell, maybe — but I love that. One star missing because I went to the Cardinal on MIlwaukee up in Niles and the people who work there are helpful and want your business — the manager actually offers for you to call him, tell him what you want beer-​wise, and not only will he order it, but he’ll put it in the cooler for you. Now that’s a true friend.

Wow! Best deals on liquor I’ve seen anywhere in the Chicago area. Extensive beer selection too. I saw customers stacking cases in their carts their prices are so low. A bit out of the way for me, but when in Rome… stock up!
I now have 4 bottles of vodka in my freezer :)
