Global Handmade Hope

My mom, sister, and I visited Global Handmade Hope one morning last month after having breakfast down the street at Firewater. Having lived in the Norwood Park area for the last 15+ years, making frequent visits to these busy streets of Edison Park, I was shocked when my mom told me she wanted to visit the boutique on the corner. «Boutique? What boutique?» I said. We walked in and I was immediately happy. This wasn’t just a boutique… It was a shop filled with fair trade awesomeness. I loved looking at all of the cool, one-​of-​a-​kind jewelry and trinkets that I couldn’t see at any ol’ boutique. Every one of these pieces has a great story behind it that you get to tell. I’ve worked in Evanston for several years with small boutiques who also support fair trade efforts and it makes me so happy to see another one so close to home. Needless to say, we picked up a few awesome gifts, and will certainly be back in the future! I wish this shop much success!

I just LOVE this store!!! The word has to get out that they are here! Intentionally think of them when you need something for yourself or a gift– it supports such a great cause!
